Yea that looks like the perfect tool for this kind of work, but unfortunately I'm gonna have to stop what I'm doing. I was working with Claude since I know nothing about coding. But the file size is too large now and so I'm gonna have to recreate the whole thing in an engine like Unity, and learn Unity from scratch. So it's a no-go for now. But thanks for your interest. Maybe in the future I'll ask for help here again.

That sounds cool, but I'm gonna have to put a stop to my work. I was working with Claude since I know nothing about coding. I have a working prototype of a gamified task tracker built in HTML/CSS/JavaScript. The core systems are already functional, including combat and progression.

The combat system is a deckbuilding card game inspired by Slay the Spire, with RPG-style progression tied to real-life task performance (e.g., leveling up increases stats, and task completion affects gameplay).

I’m looking for someone who can design and assemble maps, you don't necessarily have to create the tiles from scratch, you can use tiles you already have or modified versions of them.

You can use existing tilesets (from sources like itch.io), so the focus is on map creation and setup, not asset creation.

What I need:

  • Create a small village-style map that will have a castle, an item shop, and a blacksmith shop
  • Set up basic tile properties (e.g., walkable vs non-walkable areas). This can be done using layers in a tool like SpriteFusion or similar.
  • Export a clean JSON/map file that can be integrated into my project

Style reference:

Classic top-down RPGs such as:

  • Final Fantasy (2D era)
  • The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
  • Chrono Trigger
  • Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen

Compensation:

  • Paid for the initial map
  • Open to revenue share (percentage) for ongoing collaboration if it’s a good fit
