Thanks for giving it a chance! The player is actually supposed to die when reaching a negative value of around -50 y but somehow it is not consistent? I should have done it with more checks.

Also you can actually restart with R!

Thanks for reviewing it again C:

Thank you for the feedback, it really helps :) I am just trying different type of games to see what I am good at and what is fun to develop. This game also made me realize how absurdly bright my own screen is :D

Thanks for the feedback! Just a question, how did you manage to stay behind the angel without dying? I am trying to reproduce the bug as this is the second time I see this issue. Kinda game breaking isnt it :D

Both actually? like some click sound when interacted with a npc and some typewriting sound as the dialogue progress. It could make it a little more interesting to talk. :)

I like how consistent and polished the models/sprite look in combination with eachother. Just to make 2d look even decent would be a good achievement. I also like how the light and inventory ui feels like it is MADE for this game so defintely visuals and consistency as the strong point. Camera and overall controls could be polished but overall I enjoyed this experience :)

Cool idea and simple visual with nice color palette :) I definitely did not expect the cool transition with the cutscene and 3d turn-based strategy! It looks really epic with the lights and effects.

However the UI/UX can be definitely improved significantly by just adding sounds to every interaction that is possible. The settings could be in a separate panel that could be accessed with esc maybe? I do not think it is necessary to see the sfx/music and controls all the time on the screen. Even some toggle off/on would help.

The animations and sprites are really good though like how they move even slightly while fighting makes it much more immersive and feels much more polished overall.

I think it is amazing what you achieved in 1 week :)

Thanks for giving it a chance! You are right, the movement can be definitely polished more.

Thanks for the review!

Yeah there is an invisible barrier between the end of the spiral room and the spiral itself and the collision is actually wider than the barrier to prevent the player from just jumping from the edge to the other side. that being said, you can still wall run and still somehow get to the other side but it is much harder since you do not know exactly where the invisible collision ends and cycling between wallrun - jump without falling down makes it a bit harder too i think. That being said, the invisible collision should have an exception to block the wallrun. (I hope you meant that with invisible blocks?)

You are too sneaky for the angel :D, I should have spent more time for the AI of the angel to avoid such bugs. I do not know how to hide from it myself but I can imagine someone running into this issue since the angel is not smart at all.

Thanks for the excellent playtesting and bug finding, I really appreciate it! Also I would like to have contact, you can add me on discord if it works for you? #lucresian

I am glad you enjoyed c: thanks for the review!

I like the idea and the visuals of the game :) Hand drawn style is probably my favorite out of any style and the small animations after interactions made the game much more alive in my opinion. I would say, the animation is the strongest point.

I think the sfx/music are well fitting too! Some more sfx would be cool to see at any interaction or ambience like button clicking, candle fire etc..

My other complaints would be about content and polish stuff like more story, more images, game design but I see you overscoped a little which I strongly understand, since I suffer from the same thing. Mechanic over mechanic until I have too much mess at the end to polish within the left time frame.

I also loved this scene after saying “I would rather die”

absolutely fire

I also used godot for my game but it might have been easier for you to use something like Ren’py engine for such a game, it would have saved some time (If you started from scratch in Godot of course)

Overall I enjoyed this small game and I am sure you will do even better next time! Very cool to see what other devs do c:

I like the color palette and the pixelart style!

At first I did not understand what I had to do exactly other than just exploring, then out of curiosity, I interacted with the katana to find out I can choose the fate of the streamer as the chat. I could never predict that and made me laugh when it broke :D

I think the balance of the amount of the text is nice. Games like these tell too much story most of the time, which kinda kills the fun in my opinion. I never felt bored while reading in this game so good job! There is also the option to just skip the texts if desired so I can tell a lot of time went into game design.

Some polishing like a map of the house, adjustable UI to make the text bar/dialogue smaller/bigger, particles and some animations would be cool to see. It would also make the visuals more interesting to look at. Overall I enjoyed this experience and what you achieved in a week :)

I appreciate the long feedback c: thanks a lot!

Glad you liked the intro! As for the room with the huge bars, I tried to stop the player from running all the time since it would make the walking mechanic obsolete if you could run all the time but I see how it is rather frustrating than making it fun to switch from running to walking. You can kinda skip those bars if you time the jump + wallrun right to go over them but I should have put more time to design the rooms.

Thanks again for giving a shot!

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback! I made it so you can adjust the brightness of the game but contrast is a good point, should check it next time. I can see how it makes it frustrating.

And yeah every room has a different completion speed, the spiral is probably the slowest one but if you can get the turning and camera just right (which makes you keep the running velocity while climbing), it becomes the second fastest room to complete, glad you went into details :) Thanks for giving my game a chance!

Happy you liked it :)

Amazing! I am currently learning too, it is a fun experience overall. Never tried Unreal but looks good :) Could you check out my game and give me a feedback too? (If you have time of course) Just want to see and hear what I can improve!

Crazy effort, I am solo too but I could never manage the sprites, story, scripts and the sfx/music at once by myself. Again, really nice job!

Never seen both softwares working together, i like it :) The consistency of the models is really good that is something I have to learn. Could you check out my game and give me your opinion? I am in need of reviews c:

Yeah the shader makes everything look better in my opinion, i did a similar one too. If you have time, I would appreciate if you could give my game a chance and drop a small feedback :)

Thank you for the fun experience too :) Would you check my game and give me a small feedback too? It would really help!

Hey! Thanks so much giving my game a chance and thank you even more for the feedback!

The Music Slider is set to 12% by default and you can set it to 0% if you want to completely turn it off but I see your point. Even at 12% it is too loud.

The Brightness Slider is a great idea, i will definitely put that!

Thanks again for the valuable comment :))
