Thank you for the game. Very pleasant Don't Starve vibes (might not be intended but I felt that for some reason)
the hordes of bugs are scary and disgusting but that what makes the player rush and look for the next thing to light up at all costs
Also experienced the forementioned performance issues, I hope thats fixable with some debugging
well, I do agree with the previous comments. It's slightly tough to figure out the exact rules and controls, and the fights feel somewhat unbalanced too. Nevertheless, I'm sure it's just some UX and balance issues that are not so difficult to fix. Aside from that the game provides very strong and pleasant arcade-fun atmosphere and experience!
The overall game feel is so viby. The colors, the sound, the entire visual design, all things complement each other to create what do I call it... a nerdy-electronic-engineering vibes and atmosphere!
Agree with the other guys on the responsiveness of controls and stuff. When these thingies are fixed and polished the game must be even much more immersive!
The coolest thing is how the wave looks when it devours all these nerd boys! (in my opinion)
I agree with Estel here, some various enemies with different behaviors and some different types of challenges aside from the existing one could boost the game dramatically. I'd be among the first ones to try all that out should you decide to work and add some more gameplay features!
oh, thank you, thanks a lot! This jam I decided to pick something I truly enjoy in games. The challenge, sweaty palms, rage, skill, pain... hahahh
The Defold jam is only once a year. Why not try and create something you'd really love to. And I would hope there would be at least one person to enjoy all that pain and challenge!
ah, I hope we all get to play (and / or to design games) in order to experience fun, joy, pain, challenge, sorrow, and whatever. Also, to enjoy stunning visuals, sound, immersive gameplay of course. This game provides all of this, and aplenty! What this game doesn't provide or mean at all are some instructions on how to burn villages, or some evil attempts to mock anyones misfortunes
Love the main core gameplay feature. The player basically must be always swinging the weapon around manually. Feels fresh! At times could be slightly frustrating though since the swings are kinda physics-based, mostly. Perhaps, could benefit to entire play-feel should the swings be more arcade + controlled slightly easier. (Just my opinion!)
