Thanks for playing through all the levels, and thanks for the detailed comparison!

I agree with your read. This game can feel less strategic because it is not always intuitive to predict what the burn pattern will leave behind. I got similar feedback about Level 7 from multiple people, so I moved it to the end of the demo.

The comparison with my other games is also very useful. It matches my own feeling and the other feedback/metrics I’ve seen so far. Thanks again for taking the time to play all three.

Hi everyone, I just released Ember Chambers, a small browser puzzle demo.

It is a calm puzzle game about opening valves, mixing gases, and igniting the chamber to burn all plugs.

Playable here: https://lucenttrace.itch.io/ember-chambers

The demo has 10 short levels and is focused on testing the core puzzle idea. I’d appreciate feedback on rule clarity, difficulty curve, visuals, sound, and which levels feel satisfying or confusing.

Thanks for taking a look!

Thank you, this is really helpful!

I added more hint text around level 3 to make it clearer that fire burns plugs it touches.

For level 7, I also added a hint that it uses ideas from the last two levels: burn deeply on one side first, then use the level 5-style pattern and burn-through on the other side.

Thanks again for playing!

Thank you! I just made another short demo: https://lucenttrace.itch.io/ember-chambers

I’m going to evaluate these current demos first, then decide which one is worth expanding.

Thank you! I added a single-turn undo now, so mistakes should be less painful. Glad the puzzle design landed despite the difficulty 🙂

Thank you, this means a lot!

I added progress saving now, so you can come back without replaying earlier levels. Hope you already solved Level 4 🙂

Hi everyone, I just released Spark Relay, a small browser puzzle demo.

It is a calm grid puzzle where two pieces move on opposite-color floor. Each move leaves a trace behind, turning your path into something the other piece can use. Collect sparks to switch control and clear each level.

Playable here: https://lucenttrace.itch.io/spark-relay

The demo has 10 short levels and is focused on testing the core puzzle idea. I’d appreciate feedback on clarity, onboarding, and level flow.

Thanks for taking a look!
