The new recursive dream based anomaly puzzle game is here.
In the dead of night at an isolated cottage, the distinction between dreams and reality blur into one. Every hour on the hour you awaken, or do you? You must decide whether it is a dream or not by searching for anomalies; some are revealed by looking, others by triggering them.

We are now coming up to the first anniversary of Geisterbahnhof’s launch on Steam and so to celebrate we’re thrilled to announce that starting today, Geisterbahnhof is officially FREE to download! Both here (https://lpstme.itch.io/geisterbahnhof) and on Steam.
Why the change?
We want to open the doors wider and grow our community. By making the game free, we’re ensuring that more players can join the fun and share their experiences.

Your feedback is our best weapon. Let us know what hits the target and what needs a reload!
We welcome any thoughts on:
- the weapons and their interaction with the scenes.
- enemies - do they have the charm and meme worthiness we have aimed for?
- the levels are they challenging enough? Perhaps they are too challenging, let us know.

This Halloween meet the missing links between the animals and the plants, now out of control and mocking their creator, who has vanished without a trace. Inspired by the classic first person survival shooters such as Doom and Quake, given a comic book makeover and then fused with a story and dialogue inspired by the style and genius of Terry Pratchett, this comedy carnage is green anarchy accompanied by a head-nodding soundtrack.
In this four episode demo you will encounter, the raging petals of deranged sunflowers, vicious gnomes and crazed super strong scarecrows with weaponry that will send them all straight back into the ground.
WARNING: CONTAINS STRONG LANGUAGE.

Thanks to everyone who has downloaded the game and commented, either by posting video reviews or by simply leaving comments. Your comments and recommendations have allowed me to add further improvements to the game. I have not been able to address them all, but have been able to make some significant progress with the project, which I hope will be evident for those who play the game going forward.
For detail of the update, see the release notes and download at:Thanks once again Yeena, for taking the time to play and review, I’m sorry that you didn’t get through The Lanes. To answer your question about the generation of the map, it is optimised to generate parts of the map as the player goes along, this is to avoid generating too much at once. The sections are selected randomly in part, but also according to which stage of the game the player is currently progressing through.
I have been thinking about how to make the pursuer appear more threatening and others have mentioned this as well so it is definitely on the todo list. The “Uncanny Valley” suggestion provides a good lead to follow up on for this, so that’s a real help, thanks. I will also look into checkpoints for The Lanes and into a “Continue” button for the menu.
You actually managed to beat quite a lot the game there. You did well with file puzzle, it's not easy, and the key too! Glad to hear you're thinking of having another go. Thanks for this second commentary; I've really been looking forward to seeing this. Will take on board what you said about the pursuer and how to make them more threatening.
Sorry you didn't defeat the game. I'll certainly think about what to do to make the pursuer look more threatening. To address the other comments I think I will introduce an easier difficulty setting and keep this one as the highest difficulty. Thanks for your review and for all the advice, much appreciated.

Thanks for your feedback Lil Boi Ben. With the feedback I have to which I will be adding yours, I'm currently working on a new version of the game where I am aiming to give it a lot more structure so that searches don’t go on indefinitely. I’m also working on ways to remove the other more punishing aspects of the game. Well done for completing the game; thanks for your persistence.
