:0 YOOOOO

I'm so happy and surprised, everyone's games were wonderful and I really enjoyed taking part in this jam!! Thank you everyone for the learning experience and the generous scores for my demo. It's given me a huge confidence boost to try to finish Bouquet so thank you so so much ;____;

Thanks for your generosity @aeon in gifting everyone who participated a steam game, I hope everyone enjoys theirs! I'll add you on steam :) Thanks so much again, this was so much fun and I learned a heck of a lot, and good luck to everyone making more games in future!!!

Hey, thanks!! The phone UI is worked from a little bit of coding that you can find in the asset library here on Itch! :) https://nighten.itch.io/yet-another-phone-renpy  It took a bit of fiddling around so it's worth following a couple of tutorials on yt to get a feel for it!

I really love the 'ordinary protagonist surrounded by all kinds of buckwild situations' trope, especially when they're blase about it, which is where this idea came from hahaha. I really want to flesh out the complicated dynamics between the twins, love interest and other teammates more in a finished game, so I'm glad you enjoyed it!!

Thank you so much!! :) Ivy is your classic MEAN GIRL right now but with the full release she may just mellow out or at least have her motivations explained further...

I definitely have plans to continue the game, especially with the positive response it's gotten here on itch! Thanks for hosting the jam, it's been really fun :D

Can I just say that the different parts of the brain arguing with each other was a really fun concept? I don't think I've ever seen that as a thing in anything before so I enjoyed it a lot! It was a really unique way of having inner narration not just sound like monologuing, but an internal debate, so I thought it was cool.

The artwork and sound are great! The SFX are really eerie and the design of the ghost is really haunting. I love the detail there, I think all of the sprites look excellent. I had a lot of fun playing multiple times to get the different endings, so good job! Thanks for sharing the game!

TEEPS MY BELOVED...

I LOOOOVE the concept of Teeps speaking through people, I've never seen that concept before but it's so cool???? Definitely a creepy thing that invokes the primal fear of your autonomy being taken away, I dig it. Also... I'm sorry but I love Teeps. I think it's very cute and I want to hang out with it. I wish it worked in my office tbh.

The game was short and sweet, and I thought the concept was really fun!

How do I even describe this???? It was very cathartic to punch people. The visual look to it was very fun and it did make me laugh the first time I tried to punch god and god laughed in my damn face. Loved it. It was short and fun and punching was fun and I liked the blue. SFX and/or music would have been a welcome edition but I just put some anime music on spotify and it was just as good tbh. This was fun, thanks for sharing! :D

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it :D

Thanks so much for the feedback!

I definitely agree, I went a little too hard on telling-not-showing when it came to the magical girl elements. Ideally I wanted to weave the tropes into the story much more organically (have finished sprites for ALL of the girls on the team and show them as a fleshed out team, have a longer intro to explain the team's backstory, show more through Cy's internet browsing etc) but unfortunately doing this jam 100% by myself and with a full time job, the exposition just ended up very ham-fisted through dialogue instead because I ran out of time to do all that I wanted. Definitely something I'm planning to improve on in the future!

I'm glad you like the ambiguity of not seeing the girls transformed! I do plan to show their magical girl attire in the full finished version of the game, again it was just down to time constraints. Not showing their transformed alter-egos yet was a worry I had when it came to submitting this demo, so I'm actually relieved to hear that you liked that aspect. ^^

Thanks for the rating and review! :)

I'm so glad!! That's the ultimate compliment tbh, I'm so happy this short piece of the story was still able to evoke some feelings from you :D I hope to bring out even more butterflies and emotions with a completed version!

Thank you so much, that means a lot!! I think maybe I went a little too hard on perfecting the gui so if I did this again I'd def try and put a bit more storytelling in but I'm glad it paid off! <3

I'm happy you're rooting for Cypress!! I definitely want to keep working on the game because I had so much fun with the jam ^^

So this was really fun!! Thanks for giving us the chance to play it :D

I absolutely love the soundtrack. All of it really added to the vibes but I especially love the menu music. Something really melancholic and mysterious and pretty about it, with an unsettling tone. Gives me the same unsettled but mesmerised feeling I get listening to the Lavender Town theme from Pokemon RGBY.

I'm intrigued by the story. Magali is quite a cold protagonist, but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing - I imagine she will be more fleshed out in the finished version, and I saw hints about her character through how badly she wanted to reach her goal without help. If she ends up opening up more about the source of these insecurities, I think it will make her more likeable, especially if she experiences some personal growth in this new situation she has been thrown into. That's only a guess at where her character arc is heading though, of course. The waiter and Caprice are fun characters, and I love Gabriel.

The character sprites are great. Gabriel looks uncanny in a way that I find uncomfortable, but he also has strangely adorable expressions haha. The game mechanics also have some great potential! I think maybe it would have been fun for a bit of the point-and-click elements to happen in the 'normal' cafe before Magali went to the bathroom, because there were some things mentioned like paintings and cabinets that would be a great thing to slip in some easter eggs or hints about later game events. Just a thought I had while playing!

Anyway, I enjoyed this and I'm intrigued to see where it goes!

oh no, that's so weird! :(( i'm so sorry, this is my first time uploading a game here so i have no clue why it might not be working .____.

i've uploaded a mac only version now, so please try that! If the problem still persists I'll do some more research to figure out why it isn't working D:

hi!! yes, that's absolutely fine, sorry about that! I've made a mac version now which can be downloaded from the page. :)

YOOOOOOOOOOOO THANK YOU FOR THE EXTENSION I CAN MAKE MY WIP JUST A LITTLE LESS CRAPPY NOW <3

yeah, i think i'll stick a wip up just to show i actually did something this week hahaha even if it's super incomplete

there's barely a story right now but all the art/music/gui came out pretty well so that's better than nothing and considering i havent touched renpy in about 6 years im pretty proud of whats been achieved in a week on top of my full time job :D

thanks for hosting, it's been super fun!

Probably won't finish in time but it's been a blast anyway and if you ever host a week long event like this again I'd for sure sign up!! :) Good luck to everybody!!

I changed my idea like 2 minutes before the jam started lmao, so im way behind and dont know if i'll make something finished or playable - i just keep adding onto the story and implementing new features i've never tried before (phone ui, cherry blossom sprites, more menus than i've ever attempted before) PLUS doing all the art, making over the menu ui, trying to do music... i'm having an absolute blast though.

sorry if my game is broken, incomplete or barely playable by the end but i'm so grateful for this jam because it's forced me to just dive in head first with making a vn and i'm having so much fun with it!! :)
