Hi! Yes this would be wonderful, I've sent you a message on Discord.

Hi I'm not sure if you are still offering this service, but my game Blubbi has recently gone into public playtest, and I'm in need for a localization for the Steam page description. It's not a big job at all, but I'd be greatly appreciative and will fully credit you and you'll be able to reference your work for Blubbi for any purposes that may suit you (portfolio, references, etc).  I've added you on Discord.

Hi everyone!

I'm a solo dev working on Blubbi, a cute, relaxing, social game about collecting and caring for pets. It's a chill side monitor game where you adopt little creatures called Blubbies, raise them, collect rare items, and play in an online world with other players. It's wholesome, cozy, and has a fairly light text load.

You can check out the game here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4569130/Blubbi/

I'm looking for native speaker translators (who are also gamers!) to help localize my Steam store page. Right now it's a small job, just the store description and short snippet, so it's a great low commitment project if you're building a portfolio.

What I can offer:

  • A credit on the Steam store page (at the bottom of your language's description) naming you as the translator
  • Full permission to use the work in your portfolio
  • A genuinely fun, cute project to point to
  • A translator badge displayed in our in-game global chat if you decide to join us and play Blubbi.

What I'm looking for (native speakers, gamer fluent, not literal or dictionary translations):

  • Spanish (neutral or LATAM friendly)  Localized by Lourdes Guillermaz — Discord: lourdes.localizes
  • Russian  Localized by stormf7 — Discord: stormf7
  • Japanese
  • Korean
  • Brazilian Portuguese
  • Italian
  • German
  • Thai
  • Vietnamese
  • Traditional Chinese (Taiwan or HK)

Simplified Chinese and French have already been done.

The most important thing to me is that it feels natural to actual gamers in your language. I'd rather keep common gaming loanwords (drops, gacha, etc.) where they sound right than force stiff translations. If you play cozy or collection games yourself, you're exactly who I'm hoping to find.

It's a tiny amount of text, so turnaround should be quick and easy. If you're interested, reply here or find me on Discord here in the Blubbi community: https://discord.gg/aGtDh8qJWb

Thanks so much. I'd love to share Blubbi's little world with players in your language.
