Thank you so much for your comment and for taking the time to give me your feedback. You are right, I used a translator to help me with the English since I'm still not very confident with it. I really appreciate your advice, especially about the gameplay and the title. I will think more about the name and try to make the game better. Thanks again for your support :)

I’m not very good with English but I think I understand what you asked. The gameplay is inspired by Ao Oni. You’ll explore different areas, solve puzzles, hide from and escape the monster, and make choices that affect the story and ending. Let me know if I have answered your question and thank you for your reply
Hello everyone!
I’m a 17-year-old Italian guy, and honestly, I don’t even know why I’m writing this. I usually never finish the projects I start, but this time I feel like things might be different.
I don’t consider myself a game developer because this will be my very first game. Still, I hope I’ll be able to create something that people can enjoy.
The story revolves around the theme of betrayal, seen from the perspective of love. I don’t want to reveal too much about the protagonist, but I can say that after waking up in a familiar basement, he will revisit places from his past and make choices that will shape his future.
My biggest inspirations are Ao Oni and Undertale. Ao Oni is my main inspiration for the gameplay and part of the atmosphere, while both games have influenced the way I want to tell this story.
The game will be completely free. I’m not making it to earn money. I’m making it because I feel that I need to. It’s been more than eight years since my parents got divorced, but I’ve never really stopped to think about what happened or the choices they made. Through this game, I want to finally face that part of my life and share my thoughts, because it’s something I can’t really talk about in real life.
So far I’ve written the protagonist’s story and the stories of a few secondary characters. I’ve created the sprites and animations for the main characters and the monster, finished the tileset for the first map, and already planned its layout. I still need to design and complete the puzzles.
I’m using Aseprite for the pixel art. I’m not very good at either pixel art or music composition, but I’ll give it my all and do my best to improve while developing the game.
My goal is to release a demo once I finish the first level, which will take place in the protagonist’s school.
I still haven’t found a title that I’m completely happy with. Right now I’m thinking about “Betray”, but I’m not sure it’s the right one.
If you have any suggestions, ideas, or questions, I’d love to hear them.
Thank you for reading this long post. I hope you’ll enjoy following the development of the project.❤️
