I would start off by saying I love the main menu screen. its interactive and I had fun with that alone lol.. and then I move past the main menu and wow! the UI !!!!!!!!! amazing!
one thing though, it is a bit iffy on the theme, but I still like your interpretation :) even though it involves multiple rooms, you only really focus on one. the sfx were pretty standard, but it felt like it was missing something: music! a way to add even more charm to your game.
very nice entry, and i'll be back if I have time to see if I have more feedback haha
even though it's unfinished, this was actually a nice escape room game. you should be more confident in your work!
for some feedback, i like the graphic sort of static effect you put on your game. gives it a nice charm. for your finished version, I would also recommend and intro and some backstory as thats always something I like in games. one thing though, sometimes I couldn't tell what the items were lol.. i was confused on what the bucket was till I filled it with water then had to think about it haha
also, this is all one room but i would like to know how the items flow together, like a toilet and one foot next to it is a seemingly evil dog lol. so i would just elaborate more on the layout of the room if you ever have time to add onto it.
overall, nice game! goodluck on the jam
hi! i'd like to start by saying i really like the concept. i looked around , the graphics are pretty neat but the noise/background sound is really loud so one thing would be to lower that. unfortunately, I couldn't get far due to the amount of lag I was experiencing, even though my computer isnt the worst. really nice concept though, wish I could add more feedback if I could have played more. goodluck on the jam :)
this was actually pretty cool !! i like the concept a lot.
for feedback, im gonna start with the title screen and go forward. a lot of depth could be added to the graphics by just having the color of your buttons change when hovered upon. i always feel that it adds charms to games! even if those buttons were free assets, its really easy to add a filter and set it darker to make a cool effect. as for the game sprite, it would have been better to find one where the idle of the character makes it seem actually idle, since for your case it seems like he's posing in place of the last WASD animation. and color schemes can go a long way! try to match the aesthetic of the colors and style of the actual game room to the main menu. also, when the FBI came to get me the first time, i had a file open trying to solve it and my time ran out, so the screen went black but it had a glitched look on my file, making little rectangles of it only black and the rest was still white. just be careful for little bugs like that!
overall, nice game and made me laugh lol good job
this is pretty neat, especially for a game made in scratch. i don't know if any of my feedback will be applicable for scratch, but I still wanna share!
for one it would have been nice to have a fullscreen option, as I think it's easier on the eyes! also, the music is nice but after playing for a while it starts to get a little heavy on the ears. so it would be cool to have multiple tracks or a cleaner loop. the idea of the game is cool, but i also want some context behind it. like, where are they located? is it just out in the open on some random ant nest? is it one room for the spider, technically?
for the graphics, theres a simple pixel look but the scientist kinda seems fuzzier compared to the other art aspects of the game, so it creates a look of being unbalanced
overall, nice game and goodluck on your entry :D
hey, my submission for that game to the jam was an accident so I deleted it but I still wanted to reply to you. that game my first game and is a visual novel, story-driven, and that was in the tags. so naturally it has more writing. it was not advertized as otherwise, if you dont like heavy visual novels, thats OK. but you didnt have to comment something passive like that. instead, learn to give actual criticism on the mechanics itself. thank you, goodluck with the jam
