Hehe tanks! I really do want to add in the animations soon and polish up the art too eventually. So thanks for the support! o(^o^)o

Yoooooo this is so cool! And so many mechanics all into one! I can definitely see the Celeste inspiration, and I appreciate the auto die feature lol. (I also did like a bunch of "neutral jumps" throughout lol. It's like a tech in Celeste where you can climb walls by wall jumping off of them and then moving into the same wall to immediately wall jump again with precise timing, as you slowly move up in height. It's probably not intentional but I had fun with the levels regardless lol) I'm also very impressed considering this is your first jam too! Very well polished! Well done! o(^o^)o
Thanks! I agree that the lack of sfx and animations held it back, since I was prioritizing the controls and gameplay rather than visuals. I was planning to do hand-drawn animations for it given the style, but time was not friendly lol, hence the bare-bones look. Regardless thanks for understanding my constraints I had lol ( ^o^ '')
Hehe thanks! Glad you like the character, and I do agree that the controls are a little floaty. My first solution was just adding more gravity when releasing the button early for small and precise jumps, while leaving a bit of floatiness for larger jumps. But I do agree that there are some improvements to be made, as I'm not fully satisfied with it either lol. Regardless, tank u for the support!
Ooooooo I really love the rundown feel it has, and how when you turn left and right, you actually turn left and right with the rotation animation of the room! I also like how there are faded-out marked-up controls telling you what to do too. If I could say to help improvement, the blue sticky notes are way too zoomed in that it becomes kinda hard to read, and some of the controls can be a bit vague, especially those that requires clicking. I think fixing the zoom and having more clear instructions on the controls can help improve the feel of the game.
Overall, well done for your first game jam! o(^o^)o
I love the dark and dreary vibe you got in the game, from the limited light sources you have and the music gives a sense of dreariness that fits with the environment. It really brought out the theme you are going for here! The controls I feel like could use some improvement. Movement feels too sluggish and slidey, like when starting and stopping the movement, in my opinion. I think having more initial speed on startup and more friction when stopping can help make the character feel less sluggish overall.
Regardless, I really love this concept and ambiance with your game! And congrats on completing your first game jam!
