Thank you for your feedback! Yeah I realise it is a little muddy in the middle, as I was trying to go for the vibe of being in a dark tunnel, but I probably went a little too far haha. And, yeah I see what you mean about the train sound lol

Thank you, though to be honest, that was more of a proof of concept than something that had actual plot relevance. I'd just wanted to see if I could get something like that to work.
For the password, have a look around the rooms before you enter the it. There are some clues that should help you figure it out. You can also use the length of the password to help. If not, check Ethan's book.

There was a file included that lists what buttons do what, which I thought was clear, but I tend to play a lot of games made with RPG Maker so I thought it was obvious when it might not have been. The tables were split between 2 squares on a grid, so I thought it'd make more sense to be able to interact with the bit you hid under, rather than the other side of the desk. In hindsight, I probably should've just added the event to both sides of the desk lol. I'll see if I can add some darker outlines to some of the objects.
Thank you for your feedback!
Hiya,
I think the only thing from the RTP is the default font, so if you install the font included in the game's files, it should work!
Otherwise, you can download the RTP from this website: https://www.rpgmakerweb.com/run-time-package
I somehow managed to come up with something playable! It's still got a few bugs I need to fix, and I ran out of time to give it a proper ending, but other than that it turned out alright. I'm proud of what I managed to make, even though it's pretty short. I'm going to add to it after the jam so hopefully it'll be complete someday.
Mine's got a start and an end, sorta, but a lot of it didn't turn out as I'd hoped it would. I started with one idea but it kept changing and I kept adding things, and then I realised I wasn't gonna complete it. It's also a lot shorter than I hoped it'd be, but I guess it's cause I still havent figured out how to make everything flow and have pacing that isn't too fast or slow.
There are some things that I'm really pleased with though. I really like how the maps and art turned out and the music was pretty fun to make. I also managed to add the option to change the language thanks to a script I found. It was a lot harder than I originally thought it'd be but it somehow worked out!
I'm gonna take this as a learning experience and continue working on it after the jam so I'll eventually end up with something I can really be proud of.

• Why are you here? I saw this jam and wanted to try it out. I thought I could use this jam to learn how to use RPG Maker and develop my skills a little more. It also looked like a lot of fun to be honest. I hope I'll be able to make something cool.
