Haha thank you for the kind words.

I have been very inspired by the CRPG genre as of late. (Judging by the writing in your game, I think you would absolutely adore Disco Elysium if you haven’t already played it).

The main idea was to be a Corporate-styled RPG where you battle other office workers, collect XP, and level up. But then all the classic skills like STR, INT, WIS are all greyed out and you can only put more points into SPIN and maybe equip other Office Chairs.

Then you can elevator through a few levels and maybe have a boss character at the end.

My primary challenges were UI aesthetics and making the combat feel how I wanted.

The piece I was most proud of was actually the procedural office generation tool I made to take a B/W png and automatically generate the base level structure. It would have made adding additional levels much faster.

we be spinning

DISGUSTINGLY underrated game. Genuinely was my favorite of the whole jam, what a beautiful piece of art.
I am just getting into gamejams, but I am a professional software engineer quickly learning a lot of these tools. If you would ever be interested in collaborating on something PLEASE reach out on Discord @ literallyalex

Now for my favorite quotes because I listened to all of the audio in their entirety:
- "You are improving in so many ways that are... uh... nebulous... and uh... washing machine related"
- "They won the casino of life! They spun the wheel and it turns out Grandpa's got... uh... questionable ethics"
- "If you think 'oh there goes my zest for life' or 'oh there goes my social life' ... Do you really need those to sell washing machines?"
- "The fish is gonna take your fishing rod... which is basically like... uh... us terminating your employment"
- "You're not top dog, you're bottom rat"
- "We are the grindstone and you are the knife... and we are GRINDIN- uhh, I mean HONING you"

Love the UI, gameplay was a hoot

This was so much fun i made bunches of songs

Super good foundation

Jokes aside I loved the simplicity and message of the game well done, truly great to see games as art

Did we ever consider that the shapes should pull themselves up by the bootstraps?? Maybe if they spun REALLY REALLY hard then they could become a manager at Clock Inc. and then THEY would get to tell all the other shapes to spin around monotonously.

"There is no way to ethically get 1 billion clock rotations" Like what???? Maybe grind harder????

Definitely wins #1 in games with original soundtracks about meat

Don Quixote is one of my favorite novels of all time, this game was so much fun and obviously the art style is fantastic.
Definitely my favorite of the jam so far

So polished very cool
Although making that level where the dog plays the goalie was pretty messed up

The Contestant documentary about Nasubi is one of my favorite documentaries ever.
Great game, cool vibes, cool features.

I had several bugs with the in-browser version, but the downloaded worked perfectly

So much fun. Love the corporate theme. Makes a great rage game when someone throws a book across the arena at you

Genuinely harrowing when the lights went off the first time

Super solid foundation, this was a fun play
