Thanks for this music pack! I used it in my first game jam game: https://lipastomies.itch.io/loot-squire

Thank you for playing! Those are some good suggestions, I think what happened is since I played the game a lot during the development, I got used to the controls and the gameplay, so I accidentally made it too hard for someone trying out the game for a first time... Levels or a difficulty selection would be a good way to make it easier to pick up.

Thank you for playing! And thank you for the thoughtful comments. I hadn't thought about audio fatigue when developing the game, so thank you very much for making me learn about that. I also very much agree about the contrast, I should have made the trees fade out into the background/given them some atmospheric perspective.

This was my first finished game, so I'll make sure to remember these points on the next one :)

Thank you for playing!

Yep, there were different hitboxes for the player and the loot cart, but it seems they were a bit buggy/godot signals were triggered so late that you could both lose health and gain points with the same item. That's something I should probably figure out.

I enjoyed this game. I had a bit of trouble in the beginning to understand I was the blue guy, but I guess I should have read the instructions.

The game design was really great! It was fun to click off the baddies, and the gameplay really played well with the theme of the jam.

Nice little game, hadn't worked on my Maff in a bit.

The pacing of the game loop was nice, there wasn't too fast feedback, and just enough time after the response to change to the next Maff challenge.

Some progression in challenge could be nice, or a clock to increase anxiety.

Very original choices! I liked the level design a lot, I had some moments where I had to do a double take and redesign my approach, and those a-haa moments were the best part of my playtime imo.
The graphics were nice, and did not take away from the gameplay

The music was original, but after a while of playing I was getting bored of the sound that played once the player was moving. I really liked the chimes before the level, though.

The mood was excellent. The graphics & sound design really played to the abstract & weird aesthetic of the game.

All in all I enjoyed the game and got to puzzle my brain, so great work!

Some quality-of-life changes, if they would fit the narrative, would be to
1) reposition the gameplay elements after they have been placed
2) adjust the player to progress a bit faster, sometimes if I had redone a level for a few times I was starting to feel a bit impatient when looking at the little guy struggle to the finish : )
