Just uploaded a video with a full playthrough of both versions of my game side by side, this might help the moderators decide if the updated version should valid for the stream or not.

Wasn’t expecting a game made for a retro console! I played on a PAL MegaDrive 2 (with NTSC 60hz mod and an Everdrive) and really had a blast playing it! Then I replayed it on the emulator included too. The gameplay mechanics are simple and fun, I personally enjoyed the difficulty of the levels and the bosses but I have to agree that they had a huge amount of HP… which tbh kinda added to the charm of it being a Megadrive/Genesis game. To put it in a phrase: When I finished it, I just wanted to play more. xD
Just wanted to point out that the game crashed on my console during my first playthrough at the 2nd level, after resetting the console I kept dying on a loop (solved by turning the console off and on instead of resetting), most likely it’s something related to my Everdrive or my setup so it shouldn’t be considered a problem for the gamejam, but I still decided I should mention and record it in case it’s useful for the developer in any way.
Yeah that is my main intention, I will upload a video from both versions so you can see the differences so it makes things easier for you and the rest of people judging and testing the game to see if they are valid or not. But even with all that in mind I will always keep the build from April 15th available. Thank you for clarifying.
Also, I wanted to ask if late updates are going to be seen or considered, my game had a lot of missing tutorials and required some tweaks related to difficulty which might be a pain in the ass so I worked on that some days after the deadline. But both versions are fine to be played since they don’t have any game breaking bugs.
This game is a slap on modern gaming, no DLSS, no generic gameplay mechanics or characters, it reminds me of the golden era of video games when all you had to do was put the game press pwoer and have fun. I love how the game doesn’t have any type of tutorials, everything is explained properly in a “subliminal” way through the level design. If this doesn’t win then it doesn’t win i don’t know lol. Can’t wait for a sequel, but take your time and don’t rush or kill the franchise. Kojima hire this man, or don’t so he overtakes you lmao. 10
postscriptum: I love the fact the game as exclusive images and phrases on the game’s page, reminded me of old games with manuals, now they are blank or there’s no paper lol
Alright i'll take a look into it right now, thank you for the screenshot.
Meanwhile, you mentioned that you installed the end user runtime mentioned in the screenshot, but can you try to install the "vc_redist.64x.exe" and "vc_redist.arm64.exe" located in "\Engine\Extras\Redist\en-us"? Those are the game's dependencies, usually when something's missing you will get a message when opening the game telling you to install that, so maybe it could work.
Thanks for playing my game, i'm glad you enjoyed it!
Yeah the truck segment might need some balancing, i'm still thinking if i should add an option to make it easier and have more tutorials showing up.
SPOILERS!!!
Also, I just noticed i didn't mention that you need to find all the 5 Ozempics to get the real ending.
My game is missing credits to some sounds, it has some volume mixing problems and a lot of placeholder textures, i would like to know the limits of the changes to the project when it comes to these aspects.
If changes aren't allowed then i have to warn those who playtest the game about the loud volume of the main menu music xD

Gostava de poder testar numa GameBoy original, mas por agora vai ter que ser só numa GBA. Excelente trabalho!
