I had a lot of fun trying to decipher what the strange language. I only made out r'luhhor which is similar to "ruler", which probably means "God". Very atmospheric game!

Made a few projects in MonoGame before, but I probably haven't been using conventional methods since I probably was inefficient with how I coded my games, so the "Building 2D Games With MonoGame" tutorial has been a great help! Thank you!

I had that issue too, just as I got to the first location at the start of the game.

Very cute game!

At first I did not know what to do since I thought I had to look for footprints left by Dad, and I couldn't ever get far from the house, and I quit after a little while to try the other Jam games. By then I thought the project wasn't fully finished.

The second time I started the game, I figured out that the resetting was due to me stepping into "holes", and from that I figured I could try jumping over them. That's when I realized what the mechanics of the game were, and the fun began~

How your footprints still stays even after dying can really make backtracking easy, and I love how they slowly disappear as you die.

I haven't finished it due to always being stuck on the second phase of the submerged barrels though. Good game guys!
