Angry Birds but they're people and there's blood! I enjoyed the idea of this one, but I wasn't a huge fan of the tossing mechanic. It took me a few rounds just to figure out that I needed to drag TOWARD where I wanted to go instead of AWAY. lol

I would LOVE to see a more refined version of this one. Keep working on it~

Great work! I like the vibes. I really enjoyed playing. Reminds me of that one Mario minigame from the DS, where you had to find the odd face out. Finding the odd one out is surprisingly fun.

So clever! I really enjoyed playing this one. Excellent design, lovely music, cute cats. I have a game idea that's vaguely similar to this (just in the back end, not in theme or anything) and it's making me want to work on it again lol

I was SO sure I picked the right cat, but it turned out wrong. :c I need to write my own notes next time, instead of typing them all lol

Sad to see this one didn't run. :c Please make this game!! I wanna play it!!

Excellent work! I am very much a "shoot from far away and run" type of player, but I did my best~

I loved that you had sound design, that there was an animation for the enemies falling down the hole, and that everything worked! That is the goal of this jam - get something working.

Lots of potential here.

Hey, I also had trouble with your game! I managed to load the title screen, but my laptop sounded like an airplane taking off! It looks like such a cute concept, it's just too hefty for my lil computer.

Shocking that you're the first I've seen that used a literal #1. I like the vibes.

I have literally no idea what I'm doing~ I'm absolutely horrible at platformers, apparently. And the idea of wasting my one shot at the game by being bad made me anxious. But it was cute and I like the looks of things.

I did, in fact, have to look up the operators to remember what they were. But this was a very clever game! Audio is important, but you've created a good base to work off of. Some of the platform movement was interesting, but not bad. Keep making things. c:

I get motion sick with first-person but I played anyway! It never occurred to me to use the CHAIRS. Duh!! omg. But yeah, this is a quick game, easy to learn hard to master. Excellent work. :)

Dang, this looks REALLY GOOD. I like the feel of it - I am a sucker for hand-drawn games. Unfortunately, there are more than one room where I entered and Holmes couldn't move or disappeared entirely? This seems to be a known bug, and I'm so sorry you don't get to polish it during the jam. :c

Honestly, my favorite part of walking around was watching those little smoke bubbles trail him! Fantastic detail that I really, really enjoyed. All of the designs were great. :)

I got over 800 today. 😂 Thank you for playing!

I'm not very good at it, but it's cute and clever. Hope to see more from you soon.

I just wanted to do all the things!! As a completionist, getting a sudden ending in the middle of dialog was a little rough!! But that's okay. Just means I'll have to play it again. :)

I loved the art and all the music. I love the dialog. I love the game tbh. Excellent work.

This is a fun take on tower defense! I kept messing up pushing blocks around and never even made it to combat, but I enjoyed the aesthetic.

An interesting take on the theme. I found level 5 to be impossible but I am apparently just bad at 2d platformers. I noticed that the ceiling only kills/acts as bounding box on a few levels. :c

Overall, a creative take. I think spending some time on audio would've really made this one shine.

What an odd game. I thought  Iknew what my little cringe file needed and then it YELLED at me. "I don't need a HUG I want FOOD" okay, let me feed- "I'M BOREd, I don't want your stupid food". Right, right, so play? "No! I'm DIRTY." like ooookay, friend. Maybe calm down a little.

It was a task to get rid of all the parasites. That was annoying as heck. It's an interesting idea, certainly. If I wanted to install this on my computer, I'd love more visual feedback and make it into more of an actual "game". But I like the idea that you've brought forward.

Curious how this fits the theme? I know it's "Only one file". I suppose it was left open for a reason.

This was fun! I enjoyed playing through. Very interesting idea with the Roll to Jump mechanic. :)

Gonna be honest. I just started shooting things on 17 till it worked. But I loved it! It was clever and fun. Don't worry, I didn't lose myself playing this game. :)

I'm bad at this game anyway, but this made it so much tougher. I tried to hit down to slam a piece and it rotated. I tried to rotate using every other button and nearly miss-placed. I made it through to L, so I suppose that's level 6? I was going to look at it restarted on me lol

This is a creative take on Tetris. I enjoyed the idea of the game, even if I'm not good at it.

I personally am not a fan of the graphics. It hurt my eyes and it was difficult for me to align the pieces with the Fish Eye AND the colors. But I get it.

I'm having a visual bug on the controls screen. I think this is a Godot thing. The controls were covered by the bottom text. I was able to position correctly (I hope) by zooming the page out.

I liked playing the game. I am not good at (legally distinct) Pong, so it was tough for me. I wish there was some form of voice for the TV since listening to them talk is most of the game.

As someone who has motion-sickness issues with both first-person games and view bobbing - 🤢 For a jam it's fine, but when you're making games like this for full/paid releases, please consider having FOV and View Bobbing settings!

But it was an interesting game! I spent most of the time just watching the minimap because it was certainly easier than running around blind. I'll be interested to see where you go from here! I think using jams as a way to explore something new is an excellent idea. :)

Adorable game! Lots of thinking required. I know it's supposed to be a contemplative game, but if I manage to get the pattern and it's rotated 180 degrees I would rather quit than have to sit here and watch it slide slowly around.

But it's clever! And fits the theme well, I think.

Godot settings are wacky. Figuring out how to fix it was one of the best days of my life lol

I didn't read the controls before I started playing - my bad lol So I just ended up kiting Barnie with the mage and beat him with just the normal attack.

I'd love more UI elements - add images with the attacks and cooldowns if applicable (when can I use "E" again?) and more feedback on when I get hurt (my melee units just got wasted because they bumped Barnie's toes). Overall, though, it was fun! Jazzy music, fun visuals.

I... won. But at what cost?

An excellent game. Short and sweet.

This was a fun one! I had a weird bug (but it's not game-breaking) where I was in fullscreen and alt+tabbed away. When I came back, the screen was grayed out - I had to leave fullscreen, hit "Resume" (pops up when you're unfocused), and then I could go back to fullscreen.

I liked the mechanics, though! And it was cute, to boot. :)

Oh, this is adorable! I love the art, I love the concept. I got the last puzzle of the demo wrong because I just couldn't believe it! I'm already hooked and you can bet I've wishlisted it. <3 Keep it up!

Hi there! Tried to click on the link for the JFTP Evaluation Rubric, and it gave me an error - page not found!

I managed to get there via editing the link (it has a "..." at the end) in the process of writing up this post, but I thought I would finish writing the post in case anyone else needs it.

(1 edit)

Yeah, it didn't feel right, but I felt like I couldn't GET it right. Thank you for commenting. I'll work on it more for the next one. 😊

Tutorial was the next thing on my plate and  Iran out of time. T-T

But yes! We have a lot of plans for this game someday. :) Thank you for playing.

Okay! I've played a round. The control scheme of moving, clicking, and also hitting the number keys on beat is kind of crazy! But I do enjoy that leveling up actually adds those things to the soundscape. :) very cool!

It is just off the screen, and when I click it, nothing happens. :c (I took a screenshot, went back to it... And now it works. I don't know what changed, but apparently we're good now.

I got stuck on the first level  because of Physics. D:

But then I restarted and managed to get into the Real Game!! I like it, but it's a little buggy (can't imagine why). Considering the timing, I think you did great. :)

I was having an excellent time until my scythe ROCKETED off the screen. 😂 I LOVE the feel of this game. Reminds me of old Windows games. I wish it had some sound, but I think you did a great job.

Adding that I saw the "hit enter to skip level". LOVE the way the game ends!

I like the variety of answers and questions, though the objective wasn't totally clear. I like the loop of play, too!

I'm having trouble making this game fullscreen, and it looks like Solo Mode is off the top of the game window. :c

But I love the concept. The art and sound design are great.

Those are some excellent thoughts! Thanks for your feedback.

My screen never got past "More Coming Soon".

I can see where you wanted to go with this. I hope you come back to it and finish it some day!
