Hi, thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately I've got the bad news that the game project has been put on an indefinite hiatus :/

Really nice little game, great job! I'd love to play a more expanded version of it :)

For anyone reading this, we have since the previous post updated the game and included plenty of bug fixes :)

Sorry to hear about your frustration! Indeed the game has plenty of bugs. Unfortunately some are more severe and game breaking than others! Like clearly stated in the disclaimer we are in pre-alpha and there will be plenty of bugs, missing content and placeholder stuff :) We are working hard to fix many of the already reported bugs and will be balancing the game more as time progress. Thank you for taking the time to play the game and we hope you will enjoy the experience more in the future :)

Summary
Far North is a sandbox co-op procedural open world survival game with changing seasons.

What is going on?
For anyone out of the loop, we have decided to simply release the game for free in its current state in order to build a community and develop the game together with the feedback of the community. Later down the line the game will stop receiving updates on itch but for the foreseeable future we will be trying to update the game regularly on Itch!

Some existing features today
* Massive Procedural world (only one basic biome so far, missing unique seeds meaning everyone will have the same world generated right now)
* Changing Seasons (Needs a lot of tweaking, currently we have 47 days in the game, each day is about 20 minutes)
* Dynamic Weather (Not properly calibrated, so you might get some odd weather depending on the season)
* Co-op (You can start a multiplayer server that anyone can join! Some bugs definitely exist. Currently only Canadian servers, we plan to add more soon)
* Basic Exploration
* Basic Cooking (can only cook fly agaric mushroom right now, we plan to improve this shortly)
* Basic Building (lots of missing pieces but we're working on it!)
* On-hand Crafting (In the future we plan to make crafting stations too, but right now you can only craft through a menu)
* Basic Skill System (still missing actual improvements)
* Harvestable Trees (Still a bit generic and pine trees are buggy, we want to improve the trees a lot) 
* Animals (Non-interactible at this point, animations do not sync in multiplayer) 
* PVP 
* Basic Player Stats

Restrictions
There are NO restrictions on playing the game, stream it if you like, make youtube videos, screenshots, whatever! Just keep in mind it's in early pre-alpha.

Disclaimer
We are SUPER excited to finally start sharing the game with everyone. EXPECT the game to be very broken, unbalanced , probably laggy and missing a lot of context and features as we expand it. Please consider playing it and providing feedback on Discord. I also want to highlight that there is a Bug Report tool built into the game if you press F2.

On that note, we look forward to seeing actual servers go up! Write in Discord if you're playing multiplayer, we might drop by in your game session.
