Hi! I’m the creator of LOCUS, and I’ve just opened a free browser playtest.
What if you didn’t know your own pieces? Both armies begin with hidden identities—including your own. Attacking helps you discover your pieces privately, while revealing a piece gives that information to both players. Decide what to keep secret and build a winning formation while disrupting your opponent.
There are three routes to victory: a Locus formation, stronghold control, or elimination of the opponent’s ability pieces. You can play against AI or share a device for local two-player play.
Play here: https://ledmax.itch.io/locus
Free, no download required. Desktop browser recommended.
New players can start with the interactive Tutorial, then try Guided first match against a gentle AI with optional coaching. English quickstart and full rulebook PDFs are also on the game page.
I’m looking for first-time feedback, especially:
• Where did you first feel confused?
• What made you want to keep playing—or stop?
Even trying the tutorial and sharing one observation would help. If you finish a match, I’d also love to hear whether the reason for the win or loss was clear. Thanks for giving LOCUS a try!
