Every goes online any moment now. If you want to know the who, how, why and when... I'm an open book. Let me know what's on your mind

I live in Australia, the pathway to printing a comic is risky. Postage, printing costs and a small regional audience make profitability a tough ask. We live in a digital world so there has to be a solution for independent digital comic publishing that lets us reach a global audience on their terms where they like to shop. I want to create a template for other comic creators to follow, and one day use, there has to be options for releasing online without limits.

The eReader I built can be deployed on any device, hosted on any game platform (steam included) and the files are packed in a secure format meaning you could sell physical USBs with the app included. The app allows us to put our work in more places using a format that people will engage with in ways a pdf can't offer.

I want to make the perfect eReader, then find a way to get that app to other creators... please help... tell me your wildest dreams for the perfect eReader.

As a first issue there are so many choices to make about starting the story. I rewrote the opening few pages a few dozen times and landed on themes upfront to let the rest of the issue unfold. I'm still tweaking, I'm all ears to your thoughts on what works and what needs more time in the oven

If you see the potential or don't every comment is helpful. Advice, ideas or shout out if you feel something is complicated, difficult or annoying - I'll sort it out from there

A place to keep you posted on what's changed, what's on the to do list and responses to your requests.

---June 2024 Edit ---

The eReader is is ready for reactions, so I'm gonna jot down some little/big things I know need addressing:

  • More depth. There's already 3000+ interactions, but across so many characters and points of interest some interaction sequences may feel repetitive
  • Punch-up the gags. With so many gags there's a heap of tightening and tweaking to make every one hit right
  • Missing Moments: there's still a few hundred placeholder comments to be patched out
  • Inventory Interactions: 60 potential items each with 6 actions and each with 5 - 10 outcomes. It's a lot to get to my base minimum target.
  • Points of Interest - Use Item and Mini Quests: I'd chip away at theses but implementing them will be easier when the above tasks are completed

This is what I feel short on for the launch. Beyond it is a heap more - Quests, UI Tweaks, etc and I have a massive list of cool ideas to gradually add as the series rolls out... near the top, is a combat system

If you have any ideas shout out and I'll add it to the list

Love it, hate it, unsure?  During the story if you ever thought, what's that mean, that doesn't work or I'm hooked and I need more now!... here's the place to focus on Issue#1 - Get the Message.

This first issue is a use case for a custom Interactive eBook I've designed with Tyranobuilder. Lets talk about development, feedback, suggest features and bug fixes.

A place to discuss the series - what is it about, how is it made, what's next and when. All the general AMA things that come to mind
