The idea is that light and dark reveals two copies of the same world, tho I agree calling these two worlds “past” and “present” is not very convincing without further in game detailing or narrative.

I think you are close enough and stacking is right, it’s just you need to pop the bubble while the box was in light so it got send to the “present” space. That was actually the last level tho due to the fact I cannot create more levels in time as a result of bad time planning, so I guess that’s kinda related to the theme too.
I am fairly new to the game, but I found that whenever I have myself captured or sometimes when enemies captured me, after they locked me in the cell, my original outfit were gone, and a random new set of clothes were on automatically. Is this intended? Is there a way I could retrieve my original clothes?
for anyone who plays but failed to get to the normal ending to see the fancy animation I prepared, (because of the poor design choices or lack of intuitive hints), here's a brief (with no major spoilers) walkthrough to the normal ending https://shrib.com/#Jonah5M4Y51w

so much thx for playing this!! contacting B doesn't make any new progress beyond the normal ending and the ending does have a lot of bugs unfortunately... but it does have a hidden ending if you attempt to do something with "ESCAPE THIS REALITY" on a more aggressive approach... (supposed to be hinted more toward the end but yes)
