Hi everyone! I'm a solo dev from Korea, and the public beta of Lanternkeep is now open. It's a mobile-first survivors-like built around one rule: light.
Light a dead lantern, and the dark around it turns into land of light. Neighboring lanterns link up with bridges of light, and inside your land you hit harder (+20%), regenerate HP and enemies slow down by 25%. Step out into the dark and it bites back. Light every lantern and the barrier's heart, and the boss comes out – then the lanterns you lit strike it one by one.
How it plays: you only move; attacks are automatic. Each level-up offers three cards. Max out two skills and a fusion card can show up. Three keepers – a lantern archer, a shield keeper and a flame caster – each with their own skills and talent tree.
In the beta (free, no ads, no in-app purchases):
- Story chapters 1–2 (6 stages), 3 keepers
- Free Roam, Endless Night and Daily Lantern on those lands (the last two unlock after chapter 2)
- Cleared missions replayable on Hard and Nightmare
- Talent trees, lantern deck, relics, achievements, fusion codex
- English · 한국어 · 日本語 · 简体中文
Play: right in the browser on phone or PC (no install; the first load is a few dozen MB), or grab the Android APK.

Feedback: there's a Feedback button on the title screen (next to the gear) and on the result screen. Pick 1–5 lanterns, write one line, hit Send – it comes straight to me. Comments here are just as welcome: bugs, what felt hard, what was fun, how far you got on your first night.
Known issues: crowds can stutter on low-end phones (phones start on the light graphics setting). Web saves live in that browser only. iPhone/iPad Safari is still lightly tested.
Disclosure: the art started from AI-generated drafts that I picked, cropped and recolored in code; dialogue, descriptions and translations were written with AI; the music is arranged in code from real instrument recordings (VSCO 2 CE / VCSL, CC0) – no AI audio models. Engine: Godot 4.5.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy your first night with the lanterns!
