Thanks for your playtest, despite the poor UX at the current status.

The main inspiration is from early WWII (for ex https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battleships_in_World_War_II). In "real" life, the main gun fires at about 2 rounds per minute - but I increased the frequency to allow more fun.

I'm not sure about the following cam, but I'll make an indicator for sure.

Thanks for testing!

I realize now that it's a bit premature for the game to be play-tested, and a big focus on UX has to be made.

I knew about black squares, but it happens very rarely in my case. I'll work to fix that.

That's almost a full game ;) Lovely art-style and music + interesting gameplay.

On my first session, I've just played without strategy, until I lost a combat and the game (the first with 5 guys with a knight, with the big difficulty gap !). I 'll give a retry by carefully managing the items and the strategy :D

If the plan is to make a casual game, then I think that there are too many info at the beginning, even if there is a good tutorial. I havn't paid attention to the "affinities" system, neither RPG elements, because it looked overwhelming and there is a lot to learn in few minutes. (As a game-dev myself, it is very difficult to make a good impression on someone who is playing the game for the first time.) Once you get used to the game, then almost everything makes sense.

Pretty nice and polished game.

I would prefer that the bullets hit the obstacles instead of ignoring them.

The bot-players can see you from distance - it's a bit unfair - but I've ended spamming shots in the direction of the incomming bullets ...

100% agree with the previous comment: on the map, add markers/score info. I've only completed the first level ; I didn't manage to control the "kicking" good enough.

I love the music and art-style!

Eh, I only tried the web game. Are the textures missing? I can't skip the intro and once I jumped into the void, I have to restart all over ...

But I like the idea to grab the "light".

PS: the keys mapping is correct only with a qwerty keyboard :(

The game is great ; I've reached the "Pirate king" level 7 and just destroy every one, until I clicked on "explore island" and then I died :( The multi-player is working well and that's a good improvement to the game !

Few remarks:

- Maybe have better re-spawn location (avoid being near a player).

- The keys don't map correctly on a non-qwerty keyboard.

- I had some lags too - surely because of Unity.

Lovely game, that reminds me "yahtzee".

I miss sounds (as expected), some animations, but mainly the ability to un-select the dices for rolling (that said, it's maybe a core gameplay element, don't know ...)

(1 edit)

Yeah, one of my first goals was to have "realistic unforgiving gravity controls" - so I'm glad that you felt it.

You can tune the "help" but maybe it's not impactful enough.

Good luck!

I really appreciate your kind words., thanks.

I'm glad that the game caught you;) I didn't expect it!

Ah, there is probably a tone of similar games, and I designed it to be hard but good looking.

I'm looking forward to the final table with all levels completed...

Thank you too.

Ah ah, you got me! I initially made the "no sound in space" as a joke - and I didn't consider having  cockpit sounds; that's a great idea actually ...

Yes, I removed the main engine exaust display due to a few issues. That's something I could improve in the future (including the RC-thrusters that are a bit "hacky")

You're a pro ; I already find the game challenging, but I can tweak the RC strength indeed.

Thanks a lot!

Thanks a lot!

Yes, I also did the music, using a synthetizer that I have at home.

Good to know that the perfs were good. You can toggle the full-screenwith the "F" key ; it's shown at the top right. But I think I can add the hint in the "settings" panel too.

Nice little platformer.

Just one thing: the walking-sound-effect is getting quickly annoying and it does not add something relevant to the gameplay.

I enjoyed this game, but I missed some chalange (the player's base is never attacked). I didn't know this kind of game (idle game) so I discovered it!

I think that a fast-forward mode is missing.

I loved the sound track.

Good feeling of the 90s arcade games, but it feels not polished (shield not correctly centered, the background very coarse, pixelized text rendering on the "pause" menu)

I would like to have more details on the devlog though.

The game starts but it expects a QWERTY keyboard.

The devlog link is broken - so it does not fit with this game-jam.
