Yep, print-on-demand from DTRPG is the only physical version of the book right now.

Hi Claudia -- To my knowledge no one has made one, and by all means you have my permission to do so. When it's complete, if you feel like sharing it, feel free to post a link to it on the Lampblack & Brimstone discord: https://discord.gg/xrwQtD3

Hi! You have found an error in the text! That line is a holdover from an earlier iteration of the rules.

The resolution procedure for the Prehistoric and Ancient Ages (step C: End of the Age) describes how the transition happens. The part that still reflects the misleading "Steward must pay AP for their creations to survive" line is if you roll a 7-9 you have the option of paying AP to allow your Avatar or People to survive to the next Age.

Does that make sense? It all works as intended if you ignore that line and just follows the step-by-step procedures for each Age. Sorry about the confusion!

Hi! Since there's no way to DM each other via itch, I guess the best thing to do is join the L&B discord and DM me that way:

https://discord.gg/zkkquqha

Send me a screenshot of your DTRPG library with the book on there and I will happily send you the links for PDF copies here and on DTRPG.

Hi — That’s a question best answered by the opinions of the people at the table, but I personally  favor your suggestion of the faction becoming a new people.

Sorry, yes, it can absolutely be played solo, you'd just play the roles of multiple players because of the way the point-buy economy works.

A bonkers system I just generated for my next campaign. Forget about the three-body problem!

Yes, that’s totally fine, and thanks for asking. I’m happy to hear that you’re enjoying the book!

Done! Space is of course a little tighter now, but 20 Systems of Interest can now be accommodated. Thanks again for noticing this inconsistency and pointing it out to me.

Thanks for the note, Jeff! Once I get a spare moment I'll see what I can do about making that fix.

Hi -- Great question. I could probably add some clarity there. The Create People action gives them a single starting hex of territory. So, to expand that you'd need to take the Expand Territory action.

That being said, if 1 hex feels too limiting to you and your players, there's nothing wrong with house ruling that a People starts with 1d6 hexes of territory. It won't break the game.

Hi -- That is a great idea and something I have thought about. No plans for the near future though, I've got too many other projects to manage at the moment.

Hi -- At the moment I don't have the time to set up those icons, so I second NoizyDragon's suggestion. I've also played Worldwizard using Miro, where it's easy to draw and then copy and paste icons.

Yeah, the lack of clarity on that point is an oversight on my part. Overall you're encouraged to respect the work of the other players, so I would say yes, you're right -- stewards should have final say on whether a disaster impacts their creations.

The intention is that "long-lived" means they have a longer lifespan than usual, and immortal means they will not die by natural causes. So immortal replaces long-lived.

You're supposed to get 2d6 AP per AGE, not per ROUND ;)

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience! I'm really glad to hear that people are having fun with it.

Thanks!

Thanks for the notes, I'll fold them into the next round of edits!

Awesome! If you feel like sharing your experience afterwards, I'm sure people on the Lampblack & Brimstone discord would love to hear about it:

I'm looking into it...

Glad to hear it! I found Dawn of Worlds pretty inspiring (obviously).

The Perilous Void is a set of procedures and tables designed to be used with any sci-fi game of your choice. It does not depend on or refer to any preexisting rules.

Yes, there will be a print-on-demand edition available on DriveThruRPG in 3-4 weeks. I'm looking into how to set up a discount for people who bought the PDF here on itch.

It's on my to-do list! Hopefully next week some time.

Awesome, I hope you find it to your liking.

Wow, thanks so much for taking to time to comment. I put a lot of thought and effort into this one precisely because I don't like those "mish-mash" books, so it means a lot that you noticed!

Thanks so much, the support is appreciated!

Hi -- Yes, I removed the old version. I didn't know that it would get removed from the libraries from people who already bought it though! Do you specifically want the old edition, or would the new one be okay?

Very cool! Love the art -- any chance it was influenced by the great board game Dungeon Degenerates?

I would love it if the clicking pace was a little faster/smoother.

Good luck with further development, you're on to something good here.

Thanks for checking... I suppose the parts that are not specific to Dungeon World would still work for Cairn, at least.

Hm, I'll look into it! Can't make any promises because it would take some work, but it's an interesting idea.

Yes, it does.

Finally beat it after five tries. Amazing game! Best I've played in a while. I would pay big money for an overland map and branching campaign-level options! I hope you do more with this brilliant design in the future.

Fantastic game. Would love more scoring options. Also begs for some kind of node-to-node overworld progression -- maybe in the sequel? In any case, a great, solid design.

Hey! This game is really great! I appreciate the mechanical considerations and enjoy the tactical problems posed by each challenge. I'll tell my friends about it and I look froward to seeing how it will develop.

A truly remarkable game! Recommending it to all of my gaming acquaintances, and looking forward to seeing how things develop.
