Hey everyone,
I'm working solo on a dream project I've had for a long time: a full-fledged action-adventure mythological game called "Ares: Wrath of Olympus." Inspired by games like God of War, Prince of Persia, and Assassin's Creed — this game will dive deep into ancient Greek mythology with my own original twist.
Game Concept at a Glance:
- Genre: Action-Adventure / Hack-n-Slash / Mythological Fantasy
- Setting: Ancient Greece reimagined — Olympus, Underworld, Sea Realm, Titan Fortress, etc.
- Main Character: Ares, the fallen God of War
- Story: After being banished from Olympus, Ares rises again to stop Kronos who is building a God-Slayer weapon using stolen divine relics. On his path, Ares must fight corrupted gods, titans, and even confront his own inner rage.
- Gameplay Style: Third-person combat, cinematic boss battles, semi-open world exploration, relic collection, and power upgrades.
Key Features Planned:
- Unique weapons like Blades of Wrath, Trident of Poseidon, Scythe of Hades
- Epic locations inspired by mythology
- Rage Mode and Divine Powers
- Original soundtrack and voice-acted story
- Deep lore + collectible relic system
What I Need Help With: I want to know what you all think:
- Does this concept sound interesting to you as a player?
- Would you play a mythological game where Ares is the main hero?
- What features would you love to see in a game like this?
- Should I go full indie or look for a team/collaboration in the future?
