Searched the forums and couldn't find any comment about this, but I did find an open github issue:

>Feature Request: Add "Console" to Platform list (to differentiate ROMs from console-styled games) #1021

https://github.com/itchio/itch.io/issues/1021

bbbbbr sums it up quite well: It is difficult to find real homebrew games to buy because there is no way to filter out PC games when searching. Homebrew games and "retro-style" PC games are tagged the same way with the exact same platforms listed. Because of this I have no way of easily locating games I would want to buy and have to poorly attempt to keep track of new releases elsewhere. Games that are only quietly released on itch.io, however, fall through the cracks, and this is a shame because not only do I not get to play them but the developers do not get my money if I don't hear about their games. With more and more retro-style PC games coming out (especially as a popular Game Jam theme) the problem is only going to get worse over time. :(

Hopefully this thread draws some more attention to this issue. I do not intend to offend anyone with my post, just making a request.
