Oh no, I didn't mean it in a bad way!

I was trying to say that it got me really involved and wanted to know more about the story! 

Maybe it wasn't the right way to word it, being a non-native speaker I forget how to english sometimes lol

Ok, I "finished" it - I'm not gonna lie that was a huge letdown, I really wanted to see where this was going!
I liked the characters and the minimalistic approach to the ambients, the story so far was catchy and the dialogues were smooth - even though a fair bit of mispellings.

I really hope you're planning on finishing this, 'cause the sudden stop RIGHT after that big plot twist made me go "NOOOOO"!

I agree with you about the difficulty of the game. 
Just today, we were working on lightening it a bit - mainly by fixing errors (including a couple of bugs that slipped through and were discovered by a streamer and one of the collaborators) and especially by adding some hints on what to do and where to go in certain more adrenaline-filled situations.
Honestly I'm not too keen on the idea of skipping bosses, but indeed I could implement different difficulty levels - I'll definitely try that in the next versions.
Even though the jam is over, we care a lot about it. For some of us, this is our first video game, so I want it to end up as good as possible.

Again, thank you a lot! Comments like yours make us improve our work in every way!

I don't even know what to say!
The handcrafted graphics made with a finely curated palette completely immersed me in the story.
The characters were so kind that it killed me - I mean, the angel slayed two kids and spread their bowels in an abandoned hut, and still you made me feel sympathy for it. How?!

The minigames were fun too, I wish the one with the cups was like this irl, I would make so much money AHAHAH

When you meet her in her room, interacting with the glue she's described as being "filled with determination", I thought that was an Undertale reference since it's a common phrase used in the game

Loved the graphics and most of all the writing.
It gave me that 80's kids with bikes vibe, especially the good ending, and made me feel like shit when I got the bad endings - the part in the circus tent was also creepy as fuck, with that labyrinthic layout and the ice-cream cones coming out of the walls.

Kudos, that was really good!

Hi! I'll base my """review""" on the fact that this is your first RPG maker project.

It was cute actually, I liked the chasing scene and the minigame was simple but well thought.
The idea that taking cig butts from the ground to save game was also cute, and I liked that you put some descriptions around.

On another note, though, since you made it very short I would've put a lot more thought into mapping - there are some bookshelves over others and the plants let you walk over them and on the walls.

It is a nice first project though and you did a good job with the eventing, so congrats!

I still can't believe the amount of work you put into this project in just a month!

This doesn't feel like a "game jam" game at all - instead it is incredibly fleshed out in graphical detail, mapping and storytelling.

I didn't finish it yet, but I love it!

This was a ride for sure!
There is a HUGE amount of choices you can make and I'm definitely gonna play it again to see the other dialogues!

I loved everything from the art to the minigames - the ducky one was my favorite -, the little cutscenes like the one where Raffle rams against the mirror were damn climatic. 

Also, I didn't expect the twist until the very last moments, where I noticed their jackets were pretty similar.

Bravo!

May I ask, what do you mean a browser version? I'm still pretty new to itch.io, I thought that would only work for videogames.

Thank you! Damage based on the hit body parts has always been one of my favorite mechanics in rpgs since Sine Requie.

One of my favorite videogames on this contest! The gameplay is simple but needs mastering, and the chainkills are satisfactory af.
On a side note, it still has some little bugs, like in level three I killed one of the enemies and the samurai stopped moving (I guess the enemy "killed" me before the game realized it or something like that).
Other than that, very nice. And IIRC you were also one of the first to deliver!

I would love to - but aside from the timezones (I'm GMT+1) sadly I'm not too confident in my spoken/listening english skills, I would certainly slow you down and frustrate everybody. 
But I'll leave a comment on your project's page when I manage to try it!

Looks like a nice and simple solo RPG - actually way easier to play than others I've read, and the setting is truly inspiring.
Just one thing! In the english version, sometimes you didn't translate some table titles and some examples. 
I speak italian so it was no big deal for me, can't say the same for english speakers.

There's not one thing in this RPG that I've ever seen in others.
Skill checks based on how you do something? Writing poetry in a traditional japanese fashion at every session?
The only thing that reminded me of something else (Vampire) was the Entanglement table, but even then it's very different.

I would love to play this, if only all the players I know weren't damn murderhobos!

I liked the unique jumping mechanic and fooling the little red guys.
I ended up intersected with the floors sometimes and the character slowly emerged to the top, which I actually found hilarious and appreciated more than being stuck there forever lol

It didn't frustrate me! I just think you might have set the "starting point" too far into the game by mistake.

The first time I played, there was an intro scene where the protagonist was crying over a dead body, but now it starts near the actual end of the game. 

Don't take it as a hard critic or anything, it's not even about the rating - I'm just pointing out what I think is a bug or a glitch in your game that prevents people from appreciating it, even out of this jam.

There's no need to be so harsh on yourself.

There's a lot of material to play with and the system seems very easy to grasp.
It seems very balanced and rich for having been made in just two weeks!

It is really interesting, full of lore and with a full-bodied and creative character creation. I also like the layout and the illustrations are really nice. With just a few pages, a long campaign could come out of this!

I loved it.
I'm a sucker for artsy 8bit, colorful pixel art and you delivered.
Also you managed to tell a very compelling story in just a few screens.

Honestly, I'll wait before rating your game.
The premise and graphics are so nice, but the first time I played I just couldn't restart easily when dying.
Now, it looks like the whole game starts from a very late stage, so much that in just two screens the game ends.
I reeeeally want to play it and rate it, so let me know when it's fixed!

Nice old school platformer with cool graphics. I feel like it would've been a little easier with some "health potions" scattered around, 'cause the death guys are 100% going to f*k you up before the boss lol

I'm loving the graphics and the whole concept, but - I don't know if it's just me, but everytime I die I need to refresh the page 'cause the X button doesn't do anything
