How did you choose to implement the Theme: Macabre Carnival in your game?
I admit ive never heard the word macabre before but did look it up before i started and well what can i say theres a lot of BLOOD. The game starts from a small small town carnival as well...i decided not to worry about it too much and use it more as an inspiration haha

Did you implement any of the optional Bonus Challenges, and if so, which ones?
carnival gamessss :D made two from scratch Very fun ^^

Did you create your game in RPG Maker?

Yes

Loved the story. The art along with the color pallet were gorgeous.  Plus the atmosphere was truly something else

I don't even know what to say!
The handcrafted graphics made with a finely curated palette completely immersed me in the story.
The characters were so kind that it killed me - I mean, the angel slayed two kids and spread their bowels in an abandoned hut, and still you made me feel sympathy for it. How?!

The minigames were fun too, I wish the one with the cups was like this irl, I would make so much money AHAHAH

Oh I absolutely loved this! The art style, to the music to the character interactions, just everything felt really REAL and like I can see it as a series or some form of short novel!

Gameplay was rather minimal, but I know this entry was mostly based on story rather than that, so I think that's ok (I'm also a big fan of liminal gameplay with mostly story-driven narratives ;w; )

The story technically takes place in a small carnival, but I felt like it was mostly it's own thing compared to the carnival itself as a centered space, if that makes sense? I love the ability given to players to choose different characters or spend specific amounts of money- speaking of! I thought the way the card game and cup game were really beautifully integrated, and very visually nice!! Kudos to you on that, especially!

The fabric-like coloring and limited color palette really brings about a somewhat somber feeling, but also can seem like a misty, or foggy early morning- That moment (particularly in the US midwest) when the dew is lingering on the grass before the sun is fully up. (Maybe im being too poetic here, but I really appreciated the atmosphere!)

The story involving the angels was really interesting, and I felt myself struggling to feel empathy for MAL, but I think I ended up understanding just a bit- an entity dealing with loneliness in a world where they're able to view those around them be in love or have meaningful friendships...feels a bit like a fish trapped in a bowl instead of the sea or some such metaphor that I probably could've used instead.

Though this game didn't particularly feel very "carnival"-y for a majority of the latter half of the game (for me or my opinion, rather!), I still quite enjoyed it and loved learning about the different characters and their lives! It was a pleasant experience overall, and I'm looking forward to other things from you in the future! :> Thank you for the experience!!

This was so cute, I loved all the characters and the art is so polished and goes together really nicely! The twists of the story were fun and unexpected. It had a hopeful feel to it with all these young people starting their lives, the control and power the higher beings had over them was really intense and brought the story into sharp focus. Well laid out story and I liked the part where we went through all the happy memories. I forget which endings / achievements, haha. But the mechanics of how that worked felt smooth and functioned perfectly. Really good job!
