Unfortunately, support for older Android devices is limited, and because of engine limitations we can't guarantee that the game will work on every device.
We hope you'll get a chance to play The Wild Within on a PC or another compatible device in the future. We really appreciate your enthusiasm and support!

The Nix & Emi romance scene is available in Version 0.5.0, which is currently Patreon-exclusive. The latest public version on itch.io is 0.4.1, so that scene isn't included there yet. Once Version 0.6.0 is released on Patreon, Version 0.5.0 (including the Nix & Emi scene) will become available for everyone on itch.
Hey! The latest public version is currently 0.4.1, and you can download it right here on the itch.io page. Version 0.5.0 is our latest release and is currently available exclusively on Patreon. Once we release 0.6.0 on Patreon, 0.5.0 will become the new public version on itch.
Hope that clears things up!
Yes, definitely! We'd love for The Wild Within to be available in multiple languages in the future.
Right now, though, it's simply not practical. The game is still in active development, and we often rewrite or improve dialogue from earlier chapters as the story evolves. Translating every update into one or more additional languages at this stage would take a huge amount of time and significantly slow down development.
Once a larger portion of the story is finished and the script becomes more stable, translating the game will become a much more realistic goal. We'd love as many people as possible to be able to enjoy The Wild Within, so localization is absolutely something we plan to do in the future!

Thank you so much! We do have an overall plan for the main story, as well as a roadmap for the next few chapters (including key events and characters.) That said, things can still evolve during development. Sometimes we adjust parts of the story as we go, add new ideas, or rethink older ones. Since there are just two of us working on The Wild Within, we spend a lot of time discussing the game together, that’s how many new ideas are born (and sometimes how we decide to let others go). Thanks for asking, it’s always nice to talk about our process! <3
In the future, we will certainly add other languages, but it’s hard to say when at this point. The game is currently in development, and we have no plans to add other languages in the near future. We need at least a third of the game to be 100% complete and polished before we can begin localization.
Sorry for the confusion! Version 0.3.1 is the public release, while version 0.4.0 is for Patreon. The devlog lists all the changes and new content. If it isn't marked as [Patreon release], it's available to everyone on Itch.it right now.
For example, the new content added in this update includes:
- The completion of Nix’s spicy scene, available for both the human and werewolf branches — plus unlockable in the gallery
- A strange dream scene… what could it possibly mean?
- A deep conversation with Nix, revealing more about the lore and mysteries of this world
- Meet a new character — the shy and adorable cow girl Emi. Will you manage to get along with her?
- Relax and spend some calm time with your two new friends
Thanks for trying to explain, but that's not accurate for Unreal Engine. UE5 is completely free to download and use for game development – no upfront license is required. Epic Games uses a royalty-based model where they only take a 5% cut of gross revenue after your product reaches $1 million in lifetime earnings. And we don't earn that much, believe me :D
There's absolutely no need for any cracking tools or pirated versions, as the engine is openly available through the Epic Games Launcher. So yes, it's just an extremely common false positive
It looks like the issue is most likely caused by Android version compatibility — the current minimum supported version is Android 10, and the recommended is Android 13. We're working on expanding device support over time, but unfortunately Android 9 not be able to run the game properly right now. I’m really sorry that you couldn’t play — I know that must be disappointing. If you have another device (or a PC for building Windows), I hope you can play
Hey! Thanks for letting me know
First, please make sure you’re downloading and installing the APK directly, without using any third-party download apps or file managers. We recently found that some download services can corrupt the APK or save it incorrectly, which leads to this exact error.
Please try this:
- Completely delete the downloaded APK file
- Download it again
- Install it
If the issue still happens, please tell me: Your Android version AND Your phone model
Thank you for the report — and I’m really sorry you ran into this issue.
This bug is known, but we still haven’t been able to reproduce it on our test devices (Galaxy S21 Ultra and Google Pixel 2 XL). At the moment, out of 14,000+ Android downloads only three players have reported this crash, so it seems to be tied to specific device setups.
Could you please tell us the exact phone model you’re using?
It’s planned in two possible forms:
a) maybe through optional magic/potion–based content that you can completely skip ,
b) as a part of the story later on — also optional and definitely not happening anytime soon, since the plot needs to develop much further before we get there.
The theme of life/continuation of the species is one of the narrative threads of this world, and it will be revealed gradually. The MC being the only man in this world isn’t just because it’s an erotic game :p — it’s actually an important part of the lore and the main storyline
