Played for a while and I like the basic game loop, now it just needs some random challenges and a way to evolve the loop. There are some economy balance issues as well. Buying and using fluid capsules in the early game (before you upgrade your breaker) will put you behind because they cost more than you can make. It's overall very punishing if you don't upgrade the right things early game - maybe it wouldn't have been as bad if I'd figured out the boost controls earlier.  I thought it was Tab, not left-Shift )not sure why I thought that) so I thought it was something I had to unlock. Throughout the part of the game I played, I found the cargo size very limiting. Things could potentially get more interesting if the cargo size was bigger, scrap was more spread out, and you had to explore more, instead of just going back and forth all the time.

What do the nest and egg do?

Running this game as is made me worried it was going to melt my GPU. It seems to be making my computer run very hot for the amount of detail, and there aren't any in-game menu options for changing the quality. You can change options with the command line though and I ran with "& '.\Ancient Evil.exe' -screen-width 1280 -screen-height 720 -screen-quality Medium -framerate 30" and my computer was much better off. However, after I go through the ancient door (with or without command line options) I seem to get an infinite load screen :(. CPU and GPU are being used, memory use is growing very slowly and after 5 minutes, I'm still in the load screen.

Too bad, I was enjoying the game.
