I don't know anymore if 3 by 4 is the exact ratio. I looked up a reference image of a Nokia 3310 and eyeballed the display.
If it's  actually 7 by 9, great! Personally, I'll use 3 by 4, because it's easier to scale up.
Also nice work on the engine! But I'll go for Godot.

The Nokia 3310 display has a resolution of 84 * 48 px, but they are not square pixels. 
Is it allowed to use a custom shader to use non-square pixels to match the real dimensions of a Nokia 3310?

In this example, one pixel is 3 by 4.

As a tip: If you hold jump, your character jumps a little bit higher.

Really cool illusion of depth and overall good game! The gameplay is fun, though I wished there was some signifier, if a plane (looking through the camera) is in front of the player or behind.

I like your game! The jumping and gunplay is fun.
But it can get frustrating, if an enemy falls onto your head. An indicator would be cool, to show enemies that are about to enter the screen.

I also like the idea, but you're right, it needs more interaction. In hindsight, it would have been more fun, if you have to turn the Level AND jump through it at the same time.
