Hello! I am currently working on the final segment (final trial segment of the final day) of the episode. There's still a bit of work beyond that which is difficult to quantify, but I'm trying to make time to work on it whenever I can. Thank you for your patience!

Thank you! Spreading the word helps a lot as I don't really have great ways to advertise, and unfortunately episode 4 is 99% spoilers so I haven't been able to post as many updates about it on my Twitter as before.
Episode 4 is nearing completion and contains elements that I think are uncommon/unique among AA fangames. Many non-Love Live fans have given Gyakuten Live a try and it's partially because of peoples' recommendations which I'm grateful for!
(Spoilers for episode 2 and 3)
Hello 1441,
During Episode 2 Investigation Day 2, Shioriko says that the incident occurred four years ago. By that time, Kaoruko was already in college, so Yu concluded that the information was placed there at least the year before or so. I may change a line here or there to make this more clear, so thank you for letting me know!
Hello! It's all right, I understand that episode 4 is somewhat overdue.
Episode 4 contains new elements that have never been done before in Gyakuten Live, and to my knowledge, never been done before in any Ace Attorney fangame or even official Ace Attorney. Said elements are also rare if not completely unheard of for fangames in general. I believe it should come out before the end of the year, and I hope it will be all worth the wait.
Thank you! Yes, I am using an old version of Game Maker, specifically v2.3.6.595. Unfortunately, updating Game Maker actually breaks the engine I use to make the game. This scenario about porting it is the first time that's ever been a problem, so perhaps I could try manually adjusting the engine at some point but I'd have to keep it low priority.
Hello! Thank you for your comment. I am currently working on episode 4, it should be out later this year hopefully. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) I recently started a more intensive job this year (ironically, it's in forensics) so I have less time to work on it. However, I am certain episode 4 will be worth the wait.
Hello! Unfortunately, translation takes a very long time. Even though I have a volunteer translating for me, it still takes a very long time to assemble all the text and put the new corrected text back into the chapter. I also have less time recently, so the translation for chapter 3 is on hold at the moment so I can prioritize episode 4.
I'm not sure why, it's just false positives though as there's no virus or anything attached and is just a "unknown publisher" warning. I've heard of others having to bypass the warning, but I haven't heard of getting multiple warnings before. From what I've been seeing, the process of "signing" a program isn't free and takes some time so I haven't done that for Gyakuten Live yet.
(I should add that if you're on Windows 10 or so, you can download despite the warning by clicking "more info" first and then choosing "run anyway")
Hello! Thank you for playing. I'm glad people who are not familiar with Love Live are enjoying it, since this was primarily created for Love Live fans but meant to be playable by everyone.
"School Idols" don't exist in real life, in the Love Live universe they're essentially students who form self-managed "idol groups" as extracurricular activities.
The Love Live series is Japanese, but this game is originally written in English. Some episodes have been translated into other languages, including Japanese.
That's a new one, I haven't heard of that happening in the two years this game has been up. I'll post it on my Twitter and see if anyone else has the issue. Is it caused by the most recent version 3.0.7?
You have sound effects on, correct? Voice blips and sound effects are different things. Exclamations like "Take That" and "Objection" are under the "sound effects" category, not "voice blips" category if you have one of those turned off.
I think it says that because I'm not like a well-known publisher and didn't "virtually sign" the .exe (it costs money to do so). It's happened to certain people for previous versions as well. Rest assured there's no virus in it, and itch.io apparently screens them for viruses anyway. I have no interest in infecting anyone's computers.
It's a fangame using characters from the Love Live! series. They are pre-established characters so admittedly it's more for the fans of that franchise, but I felt like I wanted to tell a story (I consider this a fanfic above anything).
Yes, the game is meant to be lighthearted and humorous (for now) but not necessarily a satire of AA.
Case 1 ~ Birth of a Turnabout
On Ayumu's birthday, an unknown person leaves her a sabotaged gift that ruins her day. The finger is pointed at resident prankster Nakasu Kasumi - but Yu has taken up the task of turning this seemingly-hopeless case around!
This is my first time making a game. Feedback would be appreciated. I actually posted this almost a month ago but didn't think to post to the community about it. Nearly all the assets, from the artwork to the backgrounds to the music to the animation to the UI, are made from scratch.
