Thank you for the suggestion! Unfortunately, it's not MinuteQuest or MinuteDungeon. Those games have a completely different gameplay where the character just walks in a straight line from left to right.

The game I'm looking for has a strict 3x3 grid map where rooms and enemies are locked via a fast-rotating roulette/slot system, and combat is fully timing-based with numbers flashing in identical boxes. Thanks for trying to help though!

MinuteDungeon. Those games have a completely different gameplay where the character just walks in a straight line from left to right.

Hello! I'm trying to find a very niche, offline, completely free Android indie game without any ads or in-app purchases. I found it around 2017-2019 at the very bottom of the Google Play Store.

Here are the exact mechanics and visual details:

* Boot up & Menu: Black screen, a tiny pixelated developer sits at a PC typing, then turns around on his chair to face the screen. A RED pixelated studio name appears below. The main menu is a static screen of a canyon/cliff with a castle in the distance, and it has an "Exit/Quit" button.

* Map & Movement: The dungeon map is a 3x3 grid (top-down view). Rooms, enemies, and chests are generated via a "roulette" where you press a button to lock rotating tiles. You move up and down stairs (stairs slide up from the floor, with a jumping sound). Re-entering a cleared room respawns enemies.

* Combat Screen: 2D side-view, 3/4 character angle facing right towards 2-3 enemies. The hero is a short, blocky pixel character. When entering a room, he runs in leaving a puff of smoke.

* Timing-based combat: First, you stop a small red arrow pointing down to choose which monster to attack. Then a horizontal row of identical rectangular boxes with numbers (like 1,2,2,3,1,1) flashes rapidly. You tap to lock the number for your damage. The enemy closes its eyes and wobbles without sound. Then you time your shield block against their attack rows.

* Weapons & Progression: You always start with a random kitchen utensil: an iron/aluminum Fork, Spoon, or Knife, along with a wooden shield and armor. Your items stay in a brown inventory where you can read simple descriptions and swap them outside of combat.

* Unique items & Boss: There is a legendary troll weapon — a giant Hammer with "BAN" written on it (its damage row is 1,1,1,1,1,9...). After defeating a boss (Knight or Dragon), you unlock a chest with a key, followed by a double-roulette rewards screen (1-2 star legendary level, then weapon+armor vs scrolls+potions category). On higher floors, the walls change from gray brick to dark red/crimson, and stone Golems/small Dragons appear, but basic wooden gear or spoons can still randomly drop.

* Magic & Shop: Blue mana bar below HP. Mana is spent on one-time paper scrolls with symbols: Lightning (hits everyone), Explosion (single target), Stun (enemy skips turn), Heal (restores HP). There is an alchemy room with a black cauldron emitting pixel smoke (no witch inside) where you can melt old gear for cash, potions, or scrolls.

It seems to be a pure passion project by a solo developer. Does anyone recognize it?
