Thanks!

Thanks!

Unfortunately no, but I'll release this game under a different name in the near future.

Hey Richard! I totally agree—it’s always better to respect the copyright holders, even if it feels disappointing for the community. I’m really curious which C64 project you were approached with, but I can fully see why you declined if it was both a legal and technical challenge.

I’ll definitely keep creating retro projects, just with original ideas or safe inspirations. Hope you’ll enjoy those too!

It seems that they don't want to cooperate in any form.

Many thanks!

Thanks for the bug report. I'm definitely going to check that. It was made in a hurry to be ready for April Fools' Day.

❤️Thanks!

I'm still trying to convince them to let me release the game for free. I hope they change their minds.

Thanks, I'm going to try it.

Thanks a lot for the tip! I actually started by reaching out to the developer, but he remains completely anonymous—no one really knows who he is. I tried contacting him via Twitter, but I didn’t get a response. I’ll give it another shot and see if there’s any other platform where he might be reachable.

Thanks for sharing this with me. I still have hope that Playstack will change their mind and allow me to release this game free of charge.

Absolutely. As far as I know, this was Playstack's decision; LocalThunk was not involved.

Honestly, I don't know. I wrote to them that I'd offer this 8-bit version for free, but I'm open to any kind of solution to publish the game. I'm still waiting for the answer, and I'll communicate here if I have any new information.

I'm trying, hope I get a positive answer.

You can find the Commodore 8-bit version here: https://ko-ko74.itch.io/make-10-or-50

wow, thanks!

I'll definitely give you credit as a tester in the final release.

I've got a little time, so I fixed these:

  • Suit/rank suite problem
  • Start with $0 instead of $4
  • Start with 0 discards instead of 3 (default)

I also updated the online playable version—now with music and SFX.

Thanks again for your valuable feedback! More bug fixes are coming. :-)

Thanks for finding another bug :-)

Many thanks for the detailed bug reports, I'll check all in the following days.

thanks for these, too.

I'm working on it :-)

Many thanks for the feedback! I'll check them out. Secret hands were not implemented as I had memory issues. Currently, about 30-40 percent of the original game logic has been implemented in this version

Thanks for your interest! Feel free to share any bugs you’ve found—every bit of feedback helps. About 50 jokers have been implemented, and you can see them when you play the game. :-)

Unfortunately, no, because I don't have approval from the original game developer/publisher!

It really depends on the original developer/publisher's decision, but there's no information regarding this one.

Thanks!

Another fantastic game—both technically and in terms of game mechanics. Congratulations, Jim!

Thanks for the video
