After the instructions on the screen fade away you can pause the game (p or esc) to see them again. Basically you create units by purchasing parts by clicking the buttons on the left. The top button is the unit frame, the square, circle, and triangle are parts that you drag onto the frame to create units. You can then drag the unit onto the field to defend your shrine from the enemy. You only have 30 seconds each round to create and update your defense. Once combat starts your units attack the enemy automatically.

Anyway, thanks for trying!

1. Hi there! What's your name? Want to introduce yourself?

Hi all! I have a lot of internet names, knamil is the current one.

2. Did you participate in the last jam we held? If so, what do you plan on doing better this time? If not, what's your reason for joining?

I've never had the time for a game jam and most of them are too short. I've always wanted to try a game jam and 2 weeks sounded a little more doable.

3. What games are your favorites? Did any of them inspire you, or made you want to make your own?

I can't even start to list them. They all have a strong story component. As to actual game play I like puzzles or strategy.  Transistor and Hearthstone are probably the games that inspired me to want to make a game as opposed to fanfiction or fanart.

4. Do you have experience with game development? What did you do/with what engine?

I wrote a free game 7 or 8 years ago for iOS in C and Cocos2d. About twenty years ago I wrote a MUD with the Diku engine.

5. Tell us about something you're passionate about!

Telling stories.

6. What are your goals for this game jam?

Break through a creative block. Commit to finishing something however small.
