Thanks! That is exactly my thought process, a game made with no fucks given.

BTW, In my youtube channel, I am making a game development post mortem on Lorelei's Limbo, then my next game development post mortem will be on this game so look forward to that

Also, I am making another shitpost game on the side, I don't know when it's gonna come out, but it's something I work on to relieve stress.

Oh cool lmao. You must've liked it, how was it?

(1 edit)

Btw, did you figure out how to load the save file? Your rating back in January said you didn't figure it out.

Nice

I was able to cut down the maps to like 127, and since some maps are just for planning it's  probably less than that.

Thanks! Eistrofolk is a big project, almost 1/3rd done with the demo it's not coming out any time soon but you can see weekly updates on it in:

The game's subreddit that I made: https://www.reddit.com/r/Eistrofolk/

Or in my Youtube Channel, most of the time it's community posts though. https://www.youtube.com/@kiyopawn/featured If no community post, then a video.

If this is Mission 2.

There are papers about the 3 aliens you met at mission 1. You may notice they each have 1 highlighted letters colored blue.

You can also see in the basement, there's a paper that says:

# + # + # =  4 digit passcode.

The number signs are colored blue as well. I think you can figure it out from there.

Yeah. The UtahoNoTatari reference, was the thing I removed from in-game and was what made version 1.0.0 "cursed". I removed it because, maybe some people may get mad at like "why did you put a picture of a body in the game?" or something, because, well we don't know if the picture is actually of something real or if it's just the dev of Utaho no Tatari laying down and took a picture of themself.

As for why I think this is my darkest game, well, the notes found in the maze does piece together your life leading up to what your "unpardonable sin" is. The subject matter OF the truth, is dark. It's not as grim or as explicit as Lorelei's Limbo, but the subject matter is darker.

No Problem. ALSO, BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE. DOWNLOAD THE NEW PATCH. 1.0.1. (Don't delete 1.0.0), I changed something.

In Round 8, the one that confuses you, "Botcher".

It attacks you in 2 ways.

Way 1: You are Barely Visible, and there is a fake you moving around to confuse you. It's chasing you.

Way 2: You are IT, and your body is chasing you as IT. There is a fake transparent you moving around.

The greeting lady "Rundlick" thing must've been you just being confused.

Also, the game's ending is not shown clearly to you but what I show, I think it implies somewhat clearly what happened.

To those who see this game or found it from the spinOFF's section of the OFF Wiki. This game is as it claims to be, a very little OFF fangame.

There are arguably just 7 rooms, even though it says there are 10 maps. 2 rooms with puzzles, and the last fight can be beaten with 1 move. Not much of the lore intrigue you'd want from an OFF fangame but it's just a small "what if" scenario.

Minor bug but hey, thanks for letting me know. I'll get to it in a few hours.

If you have collected 4 bottles of milk, and you go down the first rope to the mom boss, a party member will join you if you have an empty party member slot.

Also, if you need help with Layer 2. I made this guide for Layer 2. You don't HAVE to try to beat the game, no shame if you gave up, I made it really hard.

S.O.S Call is complete, in case you're still interested. https://kiyopawn.itch.io/sos-call

The censored option makes them bunny girls, or wear something that censors the crotch or the breasts. Since you're asking that, that means you didn't censor nudity. Good choice, that's cannon.

Oh, The Hoppers do stop intentionally when the fingers grab you. I did that to let the Statues be the one who kills you.
It IS hard, I did intend it to be really hard.

I made a video on my 2nd youtube channel, showing the most consistent way on beating layer 1.

ALSO, good job! Getting to mission 5!
Did you unlock the 2 extra party members? I can tell you how if not if you like.

Somebody is calling for help. Become a rescue operative today!

VERSION 1.0.0

S.O.S Call is an hour or 2 long horror game where you start off going to ship wrecks under a job where you find survivors of ship wrecks. As you rescue more survivors, you will find roaming aliens that dwell the ship wrecks.

You get involved in a conspiracy of astronauts being killed off in order to hide secrets.... Truth be told, the reality was much, much worse.

Yo, I'm doing well. The build that you're playing now is a super early build of the game. The post you're commenting on is probably 7 months old, and so is the build. I just re-published the post.

The bug you're talking about I fixed it already, and this mission's pretty easy, I have another post that I made minutes after re-publishing this one. And yes, the rescue sound is from moist critikal.

I can bring it back now, but I did plan to just bring it back once I'm done with it and I'd just be leaving it empty for a while since college got me busy. But! I'll bring it back for you since it isn't much a hassle to do so.

S.O.S Call is a very short horror game where you go to ship wrecks under a job where you find survivors of ship wrecks. As you rescue more survivors, you will find roaming aliens that dwell the ship wrecks. Learn to survive them to complete the mission.

As of current, the game is only a demo and is 1/3 way complete. It's not like it'll take a long time to make, probably 2 weeks if I work hard but this is just something I made in my spare time and not my passion project. Decided to put it up for the world to see, because why not?

The game (so far) is completable within 3 minutes if you're skilled enough but it might take people around 15 or 20 if they're still learning the mechanics.

OHRPGCE, an rpgmaker-esque engine.

Octasouls is a very old game I've made, and is very akin to early 2010 indie horror game. Where you collect a certain amount of objects and evade entities hunting you down. It's a very short game and can be beaten in under 5 minutes... in the correct attempt that is. There is lore that you could find within the game if you're interested in that. Oh yeah, last warning the jump scares are loud.

I decided to include this into my itch.io portfolio because I find myself replaying this game every now and then for fun. Maybe other people could have fun with it as well I thought. It made me think of the classic japanese indie horror game called "Death Forest" which surprisingly, despite being a very simple game, garnered massive attention in Japan and even got 5 movie adaptations. So you know, maybe simplicity in horror is simple. How scary is this game? My standards of horror are different now than before, this game isn't as scary but it is intense.

I patched up the game and did some changes before releasing it for the world to see, as I feel like these changes would benefit the game.

Just found the bug and patched it out in a new build, you were just a couple rooms from seeing the ending. It's weird though, I didn't encounter that bug nor did others for the 2 years this was out. Anyways, just transfer your save to this new version. If you don't know how to transfer save files of RPGMaker games then just reply here and I'll tell ya.

Anyways, good day! And have fun with the remainder of the game.

Hint, the exit is on the top left. There's a secret girl in the bottom left.

I don't know if you can't interact with those or you haven't seem them yet. If you've seen them and can't interact with them, then it's a bug. Either way, good luck! You're almost in the end game.

Lorelei's Limbo is very unorthodox, I hope the unusual game play loop doesn't catch you too off guard. My friends say it's addictive but hard. Beginner's playtime can last up to an hour, but if you know what you're doing you could finish the game in 15 minutes. It may be more fun than it is scary, which is something that I've accepted. The game feel is very similar to that of fnaf, where you meet more enemies as you progress in repeated tests of skill. I am making a re imagining of this game in the side, some characters will be retained but the story is more simple and the game play loop is a little different.

If I were to really explain the game play loop, it's kinda like baldi's basics except you buy more story to progress with the in-game currency. The more you obtain the story, the more you obtain more threats.

The Story? It's vague in the start but as you progress you'll figure things out.

This makes me smile. Thanks.

No Problem, Didn't find it annoying, I find it enthralling that you were somewhat invested in a game that originally started as a shitpost.

Oh, Yudgement. It's basically Judgement but J is replaced by a Y.

There isn't any lore behind her, but her being everywhere is an excuse of how she knows whether or not "you're prepared" or not.

The only time you can talk to Yudgement is in the factory entrance, she will appear if you're strong enough to fight the final boss.

I guess her being everywhere makes her cunning.

Nice, glad you enjoyed it. If you missed something well side content is side content because it's optional, but thanks for playing the game.

Alright, I uploaded the proper files. Lmao, have fun.

Oh shit, lmao. Wrong upload, it's been so long since I've checked, but I'll update you when I reupload the correct file.

Really excited, one of the things I like in RPGs are when they have multiple party members. It seems like that will be the case here, not only that, they're all pretty cute according to what I can see.

Eyy, so you did manage to finish the game, that's cool. Your best girl was "En", the most talkative of the Entropy sisters. Yeah, there were some problems with the core of the game in itself, about the game crashing that's sort of the engine's fault, haha. Your suggestion on giving the player choices, yeah, I had the idea to do it, but it would cost more time and I wanted to work on another project by then, it was supposed to result in 4 different routes in the game.

About Dokumushi, I'm sorry, and you're welcome, it IS very disturbing, I didn't expect anyone to go read it because of this game. Lmao, it was supposed to be a small reference to those who know it.

It's fine you didn't record playing my game, if you felt obliged to do it, don't be, games are for having fun.

If you're interested,  there are some hidden girls.

1st- In the room to the left of the first floor, where you need a green key.

2nd - The room in the 2nd floor first area, you need a green key and to freeze the water.

3rd - Technically a hidden girl, Tsuuchan,in the 2nd floor, in the room you find Jaqq, the room on top of it is her's. If you get Tsuuchan you can also befrien Gaille.

4th - Kuscheln, in the 4th floor, you can find her at the left bottom side of the maze.

In the future I might update the game when I get better at drawing, but that won't be anytime soon. Stay strong as well my dude, nice fanart, nice ingame username (I used that before as well). I'm working on a passion project now, maybe you'll like it when I release the demo.

frick--

(I will update in again in secret)

(1 edit)

"Maido", nice.

I added the answers from the girls because since this project was inspired from helltaker, helltaker had an option to skip a puzzle entirely, so I decided that having an easier option is good.

(1 edit)

Oh wow, yeah. I also fixed that bug (The one where you become transparent) after the fight with the Entropy sisters (What the 4 girls are called, Notice how all their names are spelled with the letters from Entropy). Keep your save file, I added a quick fast travel system near the last floor so you can go back to the previous floors with ease if you missed anything.

The secret girls locations:

There is one in the first floor -> First area to the left

(The secret girl in this floor has a conversation with Gaille if you want to see it, it's in the place where you got the lantern [2nd floor, 1st area, door to the rightmost of the F2 1st area entrance, then across the other door.)

There is the one through the green door in the 2nd floor

There is one in the maze - (You can still meet her)

The one sitting in the staircase between floor 2 and 3 cannot be interacted with but she's the "boogeywoman".

BY the way, update's done. Transfer your save file to the new version.

(1 edit)

Crap, I was about to race to say that before you do, I was about to say "Before you tell me about it, in the 2nd and 3rd stage of Zetta's fight, your screen will turn black when you lose to time." I fixed it now, and I think I fixed everything. I hope I don't jinx it, but I think I fixed mostly "ALL" the bugs.

The only thing I'm not sure if it's fixed, is:

-The empty text box you mentioned in floor 2, I cannot replicate what you've said.

-In the floor 3 boss, there's a chance for the text of the boss to repeat once or twice, but I couldn't get it to happen again, maybe I fixed it before.

Oh yeah, if you happen to not finish the game yet by the time the update comes out. Just copy your save file into the new update by copy and pasting the contents of the save folder to the new update.
