Hey! Just found the demo on Steam and got the game.
Love at first sight, superfan of the card games references and geek humor.
The game suffers from that top-down design though. Let's take the trap card, its just a card you can use in some situations, but it doesn't synergize with anything.
Now let's say that I can get a relic that says "when you deal damage, gain 5 life", I'm happy to fill my deck with trap cards and win the attrition war.
Could be Pokemon-like badges, stamps, pins or whatever that we collect for persistent effects. That way we keep all the cool cards & humor but introduce more builds & synergies.
