I love learning about game development and design!

I recently completed a game programming course offered by Harvard on edX.org. It is free and accessible to anyone and I highly recommend it!
But altough on larger teams artists and developers can focus on their own set of responsibilities, an indie certainly has to wear a lot of hats, as mentioned by Extra Credits in a pretty old video of theirs.

So I challenged myself to get a deeper insight into all things game design!
This is my first week of this new online course from CalArts, which is... less free, and I was not expecting to be tasked to create a small board-game right of the bat. The purpose of this assignment, I believe, is to teach students to be more conscious about every decision that goes into designing a game, from concept to refinement, no matter how big or small.

You play with a pencil and two dice. Each roll determines your speed and shooting range. Strategize a direction to move in to destroy all enemy ships before ending up with an empty fuel tank!
Every game is random, as the number and position of the enemies, as well as the fuel at your disposal is all determined by FATE!

This is my very first time working this kind of things. I am eager to gain feedback so, if you want to help me learn better and faster, feel free to play my homework and tell me what you think of the game! It's called 'Space Riot', and it's free!

Thanks, guys!

PSYCHPUNK

retro-futuristic-oneiric-hacking.exe

Psychpunk is a surreal retro-futuristic world where your mission is to hack dreams in order to retreive confidential memories for your anonymous clients. But this time, a mind seems particularly difficult to heist.

The game was made in two weeks as my HarvardX CS50G's final project.

The culmination of the course required students to develop a full game from the ground up. This is my very first game and, altough the course has ended, I couldn't explore all the concepts I had planned due to tight deadlines, so I am impatient to further develop this idea and expand on it!

Any feedback is seriously appreciated!
