Hello,

I'm Kevallion. If you are reading this post and looking for members to join your team for this amazing jam, I was just like you: searching through Discord communities, Itch.io forums, etc. I got tired of this process, answering the same questions and starting from scratch every time.

I realized everything was too decentralized. So, I decided to fix this problem by creating a centralized platform to support the community: GameJamCrew.

If you are a game artist, sound designer, developer, or anything else, I invite you to try the website. Here is what you can do:

For Teams: Create an announcement, link it to a jam, list the roles you need, the required experience, the vibe, and the language. Then, share it easily or invite members directly on the site!

For Solo Jammers: Post your availability, showcase your skills, your language, and link your portfolio so teams can find you.

Dashboard: Manage everything in one place, your team posts, availability, messages, and profile.

Let's bring everyone together in one place. I invite you to check it out, use it for this jam, and share it easily!

Hey! 👋

To celebrate the official launch of GameJamCrew, I’m hosting a community Game Jam with a growing prize pool!

GameJamCrew is a completely free tool I built with one goal in mind: helping you form Game Jam teams quickly and efficiently. You can create a team and specify the roles you're looking for, the jam you're participating in, the experience level you want, the engine you're using, and more. You can also simply let others know you're available by sharing your role and language.

I created it because I was tired of posting everywhere on forums, searching through multiple Discord servers, answering the same questions again and again, or worse, getting no response at all.

I would also like to warmly thank the first 50 testers. Thank you for trying the tool and for your feedback.

Today, all the feedback has been implemented and to celebrate, I am launching a jam!

⚠️ Participation requirements:

Be part of a team of at least 3 people

Have officially formed your team on GameJamCrew

🎁 Rewards:

We are starting with €40 in guaranteed gift cards for Best Game. The real challenge is this: if we reach 400 participants, we unlock additional rewards for Best Art Direction, Best Soundtrack, and Best Gameplay.

All the details and registration are available on the jam page. Come form your team and help unlock the next milestone together! 🚀

Hello, thanks for your feedback! I'm preparing something like this, so stay tuned. I just have some fixes to do on the site. I want to create a game jam with prizes for the winners and a requirement to participate in a team.

Hello, the site is under construction, So I'm looking for any feedback I can get. And normallly you have three more option to authenticate you:  Discord, Google or a magic link

My site acts as a listing tool for people looking  for a team for a gamejam, or for teams looking for members.  Once you connect with others, you can decide whichever platform you prefer to work: a private server discord, Google chat or other platform.

My goal is to centralize the search phase and have a place where people can find easily, others who speak their language, have similar experience, use the same engine, and check their reliability.

Hi Ratsnake,

I totally get your point! Discord is amazing for chatting, but it’s a 'labyrinth' for structured data. The problem isn't that Discord doesn't work; it's that it doesn't scale.

Searching for a 'Godot dev' who speaks your language and is free this weekend across 10 different servers is a nightmare of scrolling and buried messages. On GameJamCrew, that’s 3 clicks.

My goal isn't to replace the conversation, but to provide the search engine and the structure that forums and chats lack. Less time digging through threads, more time actually shipping the game!

Hi everyone,

Some of you might have seen my previous posts about a tool I launched called GameJamCrew.

For those discovering it, it’s a platform that helps you find people to team up with for game jams quickly. Today, everything is decentralized. You have to dig through different forums, multiple Discord servers, Reddit, etc.

I wanted to build a centralized hub for the search phase: whether you're looking for a team or looking for members, you can find a match in one click.

But unfortunately, after reaching out to several jam organizers, it was a cold shower. Most told me they didn't need it because they "already have a Discord or a forum for that." I felt like they completely missed the core problem many people face: scrolling through servers, posting that you're looking for a team, getting zero replies, or just giving up on joining a squad because there's too much friction and unknown factors.

I don't know if they were afraid I was trying to steal their community or sell snake oil, but obviously, I'm doing neither. I just launched a free tool to support the game jam community and encourage more people to participate, because I truly believe it benefits everyone, developers and players alike.

Here is what you can do on GameJamCrew:

  • For Solo Devs: Create your profile (role, game engine, portfolio), set your availability, and get invited to join teams.
  • For Team Leaders: Create a listing stating the roles you need, the engine you want to use, the required experience level, the mood, and the language.
  • Squad Space: A simple team space to communicate and share your private Discord link for the team.
  • Itch.io Sync: No matter the type of listing, you can link it directly to an ongoing game jam on itch.io.

Now, I'm turning to the community. I need your help:

  1. 100 Beta Testers: I need 100 people to push the site to its limits and give me raw, unfiltered feedback.
  2. Kind Organizers: If you know any Jam organizers who genuinely care about their participants' experience, please let me know or tag them.

I built this site to bring people together. In a world increasingly dominated by AI, I think it's super important not to lean into individualism, but to connect people around passion projects to create games with a real soul. (Of course, I have nothing against AI, it's a tool that should support us, not replace us).

Check it out here: https://gamejamcrew.com/

Totally! My goal isn't to replace Discord, but to complement it by centralizing all jams in one searchable hub. It saves people from digging through dozens of different servers to find the right team. Less scrolling, more shipping :D

Your welcome !

Hey,
Yeah,  and you're not the only one! It's still pretty new, so feel free to check it out. Any feedback is welcome, and feel free to share it if you like it 🙂

Hi everyone!

We all know the drill: a Jam starts, and the "Looking for Team" forums become an unreadable mess of Discord handles and "ghost" messages. I’ve been there, and as a former game dev student who had to drop out for financial reasons, I decided to stop complaining and build the solution.

I’ve just launched GameJam Crew :  a free platform designed to connect Jammers instantly. No more infinite scrolling.

What you can do with it:

  • For Solos: List your profile (Role, Engine, Portfolio) and get invited to squads.
  • For Leaders: Create a Squad page, filter people by engine/skills, and send direct invites.
  • Squad Space: Once a team is formed, you get a private chat and a dedicated space to organize your project.
  • Itch.io Sync: Connect your squad directly to your official Itch Jam entry.

Why I’m doing this? Because the "experience paradox" is real. It's hard to get hired without a portfolio, and hard to build a portfolio alone. Game Jams are the ultimate career hack, and I want to make them accessible to everyone without the recruitment headache.

It’s 100% free and built by a dev, for devs.

Check it out here: https://gamejamcrew.com/

I’m building this in public, so if you have any feedback or features you'd like to see, let me know in the comments!

Let’s build something great together.

Hey! Forum scrolling is a pain. I built GameJam Crew to help us find squads faster by role & engine. It’s free and keeps everything organized. Check it out: https://gamejamcrew.com/

Hi,

Unity + Pixel Art is a solid combo for a jam!  Don't worry about being a beginner, jams are the best way to learn and build your first portfolio.

I built GameJam Crew specifically for people starting out. It helps you find teams that match your engine and level without the stress of messy forums.

You should definitely drop your info there and find a squad to grow with: https://gamejamcrew.com/

Good luck with the dev journey!"

Hi everyone!

Like many of you, I’ve spent way too much time scrolling through endless Discord messages or messy forum threads just to find a reliable team for a jam.

As a solo developer, I decided to fix this. I built GameJam Crew, a free platform to help us match instantly by role (Art, Code, Audio, etc.) and engine (Unity, Godot, Unreal).

Why use it for this jam?

  • Filter by Skill: Find exactly who you need in 2 clicks.
  • Squad Spaces: Dedicated private space for your team with real-time chat.
  • Itch.io Sync: It’s built specifically for the jams we love.

It's 100% free and made by a dev, for devs. I’m trying to help juniors and students build their portfolios without the recruitment headache.

Check it out here: https://gamejamcrew.com/

Good luck with your projects!

London-based composer? Awesome! 🎧 The horror jam vibes are spot on.

Since you’re looking to team up, you should drop your portfolio on GameJam Crew. I built it to help pros like you find organized squads instantly and skip the forum grind.

It's free and syncs directly with Itch.io. Hope to see you there! https://gamejamcrew.com/

Moving from film to games is a huge step! 🎧 Love the 'experimental' vibe—ambient and minimal techno are perfect for so many indie jam games.

Since you're building your first game portfolio, you should check out GameJam Crew. I built it to help musicians find squads without the manual forum grind. It’s a great place to start your game audio journey!

Good luck getting out of that comfort zone: https://gamejamcrew.com/

Hi,
Congrats on graduating soon! 🎓 The best way to build that portfolio is definitely through jams.

To skip the manual search, I built GameJam Crew. It helps you find squads specifically looking for Audio/SFX by engine (Unity, Godot, etc.).We have teams forming right now that could definitely use your ears! Check it out: https://gamejamcrew.com/

Good luck!"

Haha, 'weird but functional' is the ultimate jam mood!

If you want to skip the forum noise, I built GameJam Crew to help us find squads by engine/role instantly. Your backend skills are a goldmine for a team.

Feel free to check it out: https://gamejamcrew.com/

Good luck  !

Hey everyone! 👋

I know finding a team in forum threads or #looking-for-group channels can be really chaotic. You post your skills, wait hours, and often miss out on the perfect team.

I got so frustrated by this that I coded a free matchmaking platform just for us indie devs. It's called GameJam Crew. I've actually linked this specific Itch.io Jam directly into the platform!

How it makes your life easier:

  • 1-Click Login: Log in with Discord, set your role (Coder, 2D Art, Audio...), and your favorite engine.
  • Two-way matchmaking: You can browse open teams and apply, OR you can just post your availability and let Team Leaders send you direct invites!
  • No missed opportunities: It has a built-in Inbox and Push/Email notifications so you never miss an invite.
  • Private Squad Space: Once accepted, you get a private chat to organize before sharing your actual Discord server links (no more public spam!).

It's 100% free. If you're looking for a group for this jam, drop your profile there and let the teams find you! 🚀

(Let me know if you have any feedback or feature requests, I built this for our community!)

Hi everyone! 👋

I’m super hyped for the Mini Jame Game!

I know finding the right teammates in the forum or Discord can be a bit chaotic (posts get buried fast, and it's hard to know if someone wants to "tryhard" or just chill).

To help the community, I built a free little tool called GameJamCrew. > It lets you: ✅ Filter jammers by Experience (from Learner to Veteran). ✅ Match by "Jam Style" (Chill, Dedicated, Competitive). ✅ See exactly who is still available.

👉 You can post your profile or create your team here:

It's 100% free, I just made it because I kept losing track of who was available. Let me know if you have any feedback, and good luck with the jam! 🍕
