Well you dont get data from transformers, you get them from satellite servers.. If you are sending it off to get the report, then yes, it doesnt get anything because its throwing the floppy drive on the ground instead of using it, which is what my post is talking about. As for the tapes, if you dont put them in the correct box you wont get money from it. If you are not sure how to put the box in the drone bag, you should probably do the tutorial again, as you've missed important information in at least one spot, and perhaps others. Also for stuff in the mailbox, if it was there before the update, and you didnt run the "regenerate save slot" on an older save before putting them in the mailbox, then yes, they would be glitched. In fact if you dont regenerate the save and try to play it anywas, EVERYTHING becomes an error object.

So I had just recently got Kerf - O for the first time on 0.8.2 and so I decided to bring it over to the new game through the mailbox. Im not sure if this is a manufactured bug to prevent people from bringing it over from the old save, I dont know if the recipe changed or if its become harder to get, and so its been intentionally bugged to prevent one from bringing it over or not. To my understanding that is not entirely beyond the realm of possibility.
However! If that is not the case, then there is an issue where Kerfur - Omega will not hold the floppy drive you give it, and instead will throw it away mere moments after it takes off to get reports.
Additionally, the "fix transformers" functionality might also be broken, as when I tried to see if it would do anything, I didnt get any kind of errors, where previously I believe it would say could not find or no transformers broken or something. Not 100% sure on that currently, as I've not had them break yet.
All that said, I think the changes are rad, just takes a little getting used to.
Edit: I also noticed a bug, when typing at a console to sv.target golf the F key turned on my flashlight. I assume that whatever code prevented input events from being triggered while looking at an object is also what prevented that from happening before. And since now we can interact with the controls while looking at objects (Such as middle mouse click to bring an item into your hand) I assume that got accidentally removed, now allowing for accidental inputs while typing.
I did manage to squeeze by and ended up with several hundred million. I was making a really pretty city too, but when I loaded the game it ended up deleting a lot of the objects. Roads, streetlights, barrels, many utility buildings. I didnt lose any characters but it did make me too disheartened to work on it more.
Admittedly, I did use the grass texture for an entire half of the map so maybe thats partly my fault...
See, from my perspective I made a post in the suggestions about the planks and nails stuff, and to my knowledge I didnt see anyone else talking much about it, and I asked if we could have storage builds, and from where Im sitting it looks like you saw that and slapped it in the update in less than 10 hours. Im really hoping that was part of the plan already cuz that looks way too fast >.>
Really enjoying the new AI update, it makes it feel like enemies aren't entirely out to get you all the time and that there is a little bit of co-existence going on. That said we could really use a Hardware Store in the town to get some of the planks and nails to start crafting, it took me a few days irl of playing 1-3 hours a day just to finally get enough planks and nails to spawn.
For those still looking, planks can sometimes spawn freestanding on the crates in the back of the clothing store, and most tool spawns come from living quarters inside buildings upstairs, the back cabinet of the kitchens will have those. I know there are a couple buildings that have that upstairs part but I can only remember the grocery store/fruit&veggie store has it for sure.
Besides that, it would be great if we could build our own storage, I find I quickly run out of space storing clothing backups and crafting materials, however being able to repair clothing/equipment would allow you to cut down on that aspect too.
