That is what I meant by patches being incremental, glad to hear that they aren’t. I don’t remember the exact breakage, but I just tried patching again and this time it worked, no idea what broke the last time. Thanks for taking an interest <3 The game is worth the trouble.

As for the Linux issues, the best you could do is make the executables zip with the execute permission, so that they have it when unpacked and people don’t need to manually change that. (I don’t know how that works when zipping files on Windows.) A note that it uses RPGMaker MV (so that it’s easier to tell what dependencies it needs) and that in case of issues people should try running it by executing nw not Game would also be useful.

Also I tried to patch it with the latest patch, broke it (I guess the patches are incremental?) and thus found out that RPGMaker MV really doesn’t like you trying to downgrade a game back to a previous version, even if you delete the old dir and extract it again, crashing with a Check failed: state.metadata.version() == GetCurrentDatabaseVersion() error. (Which btw broke this year’s record for esoteric errors, with a google query "Check failed: state.metadata.version()" returning one single result that wasn’t helpful.) Turns out it stores some db at ~/.config/KADOKAWA/RPGMV that needed to be purged.

Logging this here so that maybe my suffering can ease someone else’s.

Welp. It was the goddamn crash handler. Ironic. The unpacked files don’t have execute permissions. I’ve made Game executable, I’ve made nw executable, but I didn’t realise I have to do this for chrome_crashpad_handler too. Now pointing Lutris to execute nw Just Works™. And with that it still requires nspr and libXdamage as additional dependencies not covered by Lutris Runtime, but loses libnotify and gconf-2 (seriously lol, gconf-2) deps, since they’re common enough that the runtime covers them, and apparently running the game through the Game binary didn’t link to it correctly. Somehow.

Now that’s new, it fails to start through Lutris, with steam-run and the Windows version fails through Wine.

Through Lutris it fails with error while loading shared libraries: libplc4.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory. Adding nspr to Lutris libraries makes it fail with the same but for libgconf-2.so.4. Wait, gconf-2? What is this, 2010? Then libXdamage. Then libnotify. Then it opens a window! For a sec, spamming errors to logs, and crashes with Failed to create ICU number format, are ICU data files missing?. This was actually so esoteric, looking it up pointed me to an old comment on this very game’s comment section and not much else xD With a tip to run nw instead of Game. …which crashed with posix_spawn <gamepath>/chrome_crashpad_handler: Permission denied (13).

I’m running this system for ~4 years now and that’s like the second time I had that many problems trying to run a native game. RPGMaker MV seems to combine the issues of older RPGMakers and the Chromium-based “”“multiplatform””” Electron scourge.

In the previous 2 attempts my horny and patience ran out before going this far troubleshooting. This time it’s not even about horny, it’s a challenge - me versus this godforsaken RPGMaker MV which seems so rare, I might be the second person trying to run a game based on it on NixOS.

Bug: Bolonia’s jobs first scene appears in the gallery as soon as you fulfill the conditions of unlocking it, before actually activating it when talking to her and seeing it in context.

Another bug: I seem to be able to train with Freya indefinitely but I have only like 2 bottles of the stuff.

I really like this game, the art style, text and overall vibe are excellent.

I found a couple of bugs though:

major: when withdrawing a manual amount of gold from the lockbox, the big red navigation rectangle vanishes. It doesn’t return even when I exit the house, literally the only option I have is to go back in. This happens even if I save and restart the game, you’re saving too much state, normally the UI should rebuild on save load from your current position and other game data to make bugs like that easily recoverable. (I’ve been there, sorry if that sounds mean.)

minor sequence issue: when you first find the monasteries and choose to visit the pagan one, the game behaves as if you already know the first one, even mentioning the priest you haven’t even met yet.

minor sequence issue: when the bandit by the lake grabs your ass, an anal scene immediately displays, breaking the immersion and spoiling what will happen.

typo: in the bar, there apparently is a “Mmolester”.

Fun(?) fact: it’s actually extremely small, it’s e-notation which is a form of scientific notation and the e-16 means divided by 10 to the power of 16. Making the number 0.00000000000000011102232463. I assume it’s a result of increasing a submissive score by a percentage, leaving it ever so slightly above 0. Fun bug.

(Python very rarely has var overflow or type mismatch issues, which often result in numbers like that, because tl;dr of its noob-friendly design.)

I love it like always, good update (rating only post-game content since the last update, didn’t wanna restart). One thing though, the final Ashley exhibitionist event clashes with Felicity&Emma late progression. Also immediately after Jin got fixed up she jumped into her old look when viewing the room and back to her new one if talked to. (It was evening or night FYI.)

Also I want more love route content with the elves, I don’t have repeatable scenes unlocked even after first fucking them.

Also it’s probably because of the old save, but none of the scenes I played unlocked in the gallery. This might also have something to do with the fact that the Linux version doesn’t work for me so I play the windows one (64-bit) on Wine on Lutris and the saves seem kinda fucky when moving between versions, for example the last two moves the game remembered the saves on my third page without even moving them (saved in some user directory instead of game folder?) but not the previous two pages which was quite weird.

Lemme guess, you forgot to buy the phone too?

– bug report with minor spoilers I guess

Not sure how to better report bugs; the last Felicity&Emma story chapter (cops) happened while both Maria and Sylvia were unavailable. Also the event in school with cheerleaders happened before the event that actually unsuspended them.

(played chapter 7 version available on patreon)

This game shows potential, the renders are beautiful. However, it’s quite a mess. Disabled walkthrough still shows up on some choices and there’s a bunch of writing errors (I remember some misused your/you’re and a few completely swallowed words).

There are also some technical difficulties, such as horribly imbalanced audio (there’s a background track in chapter 7 that is waaaaay too loud, and the music appears to get louder on reloads?) or the fact that the pause menu buttons at the bottom don’t highlight when selected, so the only indicator whether you’re trying to save or load is the section title at the top.

Furthermore, the faces somewhat fall in the uncanny valley territory and some of the renders are quite ridiculous.[1]

Overall 4/10, I didn’t really enjoy the game even if the potential kept me playing, and the fap material wasn’t good enough either.

Also, the food delivery girl (I just finished the game and already forgot her name lol) is IMO not only the most attractive visually (by far) but honestly the only one attractive character-wise and it’s a shame she gets so little screen time.

More feedback, with spoilers

[1]There’s a scene with a woman in a red dress, maybe in the car accident scene, where that dress is completely painted onto her tits.

In some scenes, like Ash’s BJ scene, you have to click multiple times without any feedback that you’re actually progressing.
