yea 0.90 is a lot atm, there is no shame in just sticking to what you enjoy right now and letting the newer verson go back in the oven before you give it a go:)

So I have been palying the 0.90 TEST update for about 4 days now I think and I have some insites on how to make the experience better for you especially if you have a fresh save.

1: All game slots have a “Game rules for the slot” section, look this over as you can mod your game experience massively like turning off transformer degradation, turning off mini game you don't like, increasing the day and much more, look it over you can really tailor you experience here.

2: Now lets talk about the Cheese, you can Duplicate saves at any time and there is a mail box that can take anything you can hold to send to another save file, so you can start a new game run to the base ignore the objectives just call the drone and send everything you can pick up on it to get as much money as you can, send anything you can use to the mail box and the rest you can use the ATM behind the base to exchange Cp points for paper money and send that in to the box ( i have not tired this but that what it is for I'm sure), you can also buy stuff like a coffee maker and send that too. YOU MUST SAVE YOUR FILE AFTER YOU PUT STUFF IN THE MAIL BOX, if you don't you wont get the stuff from your mail box, it needs to come from some where.

3: Extra Cheese time, now this is good but we can go further, like after you have sold everything you can then before you load up the mail box save, quit to the main menu and dupe your save, go in to the copy, load the mail box save, quit, this save is spent but you still have the original that you can dupe again and again and again, before you know it you have 10k in Cp and a shit load of stuff to make your real play thru much much easier.

4: $Profit$ there is much you can do with exploiting duplicating saves and the mail box, you can even send things like Kerfurs and Kerfur Omegas, basically if you can hold it in your arms you can send it, this might be a bit of a pain in the @$$ but you will find it is less of a pain then playing this version with out help.

Let me know if this helps and if you have any other creative solutions in mind, happy scanning :)

The Cr Towers all report as Cr1 for damage, and if you go on the console for a health check you can check the health of all 3 towers but once again they report as Cr1 which is confusing but the reporting is working correctly

I have to say I mostly agree with you, I like this update more then not but the work load for a fresh start (not bringing any thing in with you or having help from a kerfur) is insane right now and having the controls change too was jarring but now I have them down they are mostly better i think, as this is a very early iteration of the 0.90 branch of this game I'm certain things will get better but if the work load is going to be as high with all the extras I think they might have to make the days longer.

Anyway I'm just going to repost this here as I kinda agree with you more here then in the other thread were I originally posted this

“I really like the added content, more immersive sim the better I say but right now the work load is just way too dam high especially if your starting fresh, I came in to 0.90 with a Kerfur O, 2 server racks of GPUs and coolers with a ton of other shit like a coffee maker to make my life easier and I still had to cheese my old save to send another 2 server rack full of GPU's just to sell because I did not know about the Cr towers (they are not even on the map yet) and the fuses they use (100cp to buy 1cp to sell RIP) and on day 11 I think all 3 of my tower whent down right after I spent my last coin on ATV tires and a solar pane so I needed a shit ton of money to buy the expensive fuse to fix the hard to reach towers (yes I could have just reset the tower and buy the fuse later but after doing that “puzzle” 3 times I made the decision to never do that again). Anyway I do really like the physical modules for upgrades, I also like the triangulation thing, at first not so much but after I mastered using one of the Cr Towers to find a ping and then used that to get the others over it was no problem, now I have it mostly upgraded it is a dream to use, better then the old system I think. I also love the base layout and how it has “grown” to be more in what you would think a base supporting a team of people would look like/need, the 70's carpet in certain spots just adds to the atmosphere i think and there is clearly more to explore and that has me excited/scared.

The ATV is a mixed bag for me, the major issue being the battery, having it not charge with an alternator is just wrong, like I get it as players we should be punished for leaving the ATV lights on when the engine is off in a immersive sim and the old ATV just had nuclear lights so you could get in the habit of never turning them off but to have them not charge and then needing a very expensive solar panel kit that lets be honest here is really mediocre is really not great, I get the need but the execution not great, I think we need to have a “weak” alternator to start with that barley charges when the “normal” lights are on and when you upgrade to the big lights that's when you need to upgrade the charging system, and then you can still have you mechanic were if you leave the light on when your off the ATV you lose battery charge, do it enogh times at night with a weak charger and big lights, you will suffer for it as you should for your poor planning :P. That's my biggest criticism of the ATV I would also point to the tires as being a bit to expensive (you should have a cheap option if your in a pinch like a 15cp “wheelbarrow” tire that you can bolt on but is very bad/dangerous but you can still use the absolutely necessary ATV) or just have them have a bit better life spans, but other then that I love it, it feels more stable and has wonderful upgrades like a map, god I love the map.

Anyway I like 0.90 more then hate it lol but thats mostly to the fact I came in to this game with a lot of wealth that you normally would not have with a new start, if I were to have a fresh start as it is I would hate it as there it too much to do and not enough time, like yea that's part of the game but now it is way too much and if the days don't get longer it's not going to be fun to play."

there is 4 panels around the work station (only 3 or them open atm) you need a wrench, hold it down on a pannle to open, now this is important TURN OFF THE POWER to all  the work station systems only utilities can be on during installation and then just hold the module and plug it in, done. Every module but radar modules go in to the work station panels, there placement does not seem to matter atm so you can just add them to any panel.

You know its called an "unstable test" right, like this is just a test of new features and functions and yes the difficulty is way way too high atm and people are making plenty of noise about it and the game being still in development meaning that this is all subject to change and you being like "I was going to pay for the game that I can play for free but now a test version of the game upset me so no promise money for you" is kinda entitled don't you think?

Support if you want too but this is a TEST version of the game that yes does deserve some criticism and much tweaking. In the mean time play 0.8.2 were the suffering is less if you don't want to help develop this iteration and come back when the kinks have been worked out, maybe then you can think about spending money on the hard work you have enjoyed.

the in game explaination is not great, i did not understand what they ment untill some one explaind it to me, you know new build new stuff

just an update, re-installing the module did work

not sure if this is a bug but my Global Alert Module just stop giving me alerts when things break suddenly, no emails, no alerts sounds, like ist not even installed, I tried pulling it out and back in the slot and seeing if that fixes it, if not I'm going to replace it and hopfully that works, anyway is this a feature or a bug?

loving most of the new 0.90 content especially the physical upgrade moduals, makes the game feel more real, the ATV is much nicer to use and more stable but the battery getting low just from using it might be much, there should be an alternator upgrade that slowly chages it and hardly charges with the default lights cant charge with the upgraded lights making a better alternator upgrade or the solar upgrade, both for the best power and lights.. anyway im getting off topic.

So im thinking every GPU rack to base light and everything in between has a power draw, that power draw wears out the transformers, more draw more wear, not i just finished upgrading the transformers for stability, is there any way with the console that I can see my current base power draw so I can keep any eye out on it and maybe make my base abit more efficient in the process

you need to place the floppy disk in the computer move the hashs to the buffer then move the files to the zip disk they gave to do the server hash quest now, if therre is no data on the floppy to move to the buffer it might be a bug or the disk is bugged, also the floppy disks have a read/write limit of like 20uses, once they are used up they will not take data any more

ok ty

So maybe becuse the way im doing this its wrong but I took my Kerfur omega to my new 0.90 game and sent her out for the server reports, so it demands i give a floppy disk to my Kerfur for the reports instead of a peice of paper like in the last ver, ok igve my guy a disk and she is off, sent the disk off with the reels and singles but i get an email saying i still have to get the server reports, what si the kerfur not doing right with the reports?

I would also like to know for chill games that I want to relax in, in the mean time for the normal games getting a kerfur and then upgrading it to a omega is the way to go for keeping the base running smooth

in game, in the save menu for story mode or what not there is a button "open save directory" it will open the save game location in windows, there is a folder "_bin" in there is all the save game file that have been deleted, I'm not sure if there is a clean up on those files if they have been in there for a certain amount of time but your save game should still be there, just move it back to the save game root folder and there your save is back!

you go to your save folder and then open the "_Bin" folder, grab the save you want to recover and move it in to the main save folder with the rest of the save files.

I recently did this, deleted my game by mistake and I'm using the back up save from "_bin" just fine so far

I was clearing out some of my previous saves and accidentally clicked my current save not noticing I was about to nuke it, after that had settled in I was like, "whelp it warned me" but I had a feeling I should go check the save game location and holy sh*t there was a folder called "_bin" that had all my recently deleted saves in... just wow, thank you dev for foreseeing our foolishness because you just saved me like 30hrs plus all the stuff I sent from old saves to this save....

Just an amazing game, thought I should share this!

if you still want to open it with the lock and not a hack saw i think you need to scroll down fist, and I think one of the clicks might be false but I'm not 100%

I bought and played signal simulator a few years back, I liked it alot but the play loop got kinda stale after awhile and it was kinda spooky but I did not get to far in to it due to the play loop being nap inducing. I was checking it out a few days ago and read it was some what abandoned as it currently was and that sucked but then on the store page for said game the 3 top reviews said "VOICES OF THE VOID" and shit is this not just signal simulator done right! the play loop is very good and has engaged me in a way games rarely do, and the spooky stuff is very spooky! I Love This Game! And I hope it continues to completion that's why I threw 30$ at this game, I personally think this game is worth more but I'm on a budget and can only spend so much, with that said I would normally just grab a free game play it for some entertainment and move on, no not this one, this is a free game worth money.

I just want to thank the Dev and the community that made this treat for the sense possible, Thank you!

Now back to my game, day 19 and the Kerfur that i just got seems to be stuck in the bottom of a river, guess i need to keep manually resetting servers... wait was that mannequin always there....
