Eco not acknowledging any positive things about vulterus is mostly due to kai's influence. Eco in the start was "well, let's not judge a book by it's cover", and now he's all aboard the "screw you vulterus" train, which is mostly because of Kai.
Jayce is the one that contextualizes the club scene to eco after the meeting with talis, and provides that explanation/justification/ context. But yeah, eco is impulsive :)
The sprite's art are all sketches. They will be rendered and finished in future updates. You are not meant to see eco's full face, but you see half of it in build 4. And you won't be waiting a year for build 5, that much i assure you, considering I have done 3 builds in 6 months.

This is addressed in the VN! Kiara refuses it because as far as she is concerned, Kai is straight, and she has her own cultural expectations to uphold. Kai explains this to you in the scene where all these juicy details are revealed <3
I made two public poll about moving those scenes to build 4 in order to get build 3 out on time, as including those scenes would require 40K more words of writing, and build 3 was already 100K words long. The community voted to ship build 3 without them, and then have me make a smaller build 4 that releases in a few months with those scenes included. A bit of an oversight for me to not upload the results of that poll to patreon.
I believe there is a fan translation out there somewhere from an independent team that contacted me a while back? Not sure how I'd get in contact with them though
no worries haha. To TLDR: I'm a coding noob and genuinely didn't know how to adjust the speeds of those effects. However, I have since learned and the speeds are already adjusted in build 3 <3
