Once the game jam's over, at some point I'll go back and feature complete this lil game with audio and more cows.
(I also have to fix the smelly code because some of the features were implemented poorly in haste...)
100% - Funny enough, the original idea was to have different "cowboys" the player could select, each of which had a default attack timing. Needing to hit multiple timers, one that had to click when an image showed up instead of a timer, etc etc, but after chatting with a friend it felt like a shame to relegate them to PC's! (Playable cows)
The puzzles were very intimidating. The early laddering to teach how mechanics/tiles worked was good, I think its mostly that I felt like I was getting dropped into the deep end.
It took me quite some time to figure out that 1st level where you shoot the bullet through the slow field to hit a yellow that you swapped into shooting a slowfield with the red orb... (Its err hard to explain it all, but coming in it was pretty hard to figure out everything since it was my first time using all the mechanics shown in the early room.)
The first lesson I learnt was the "refresh the page to reset the scene with where the player is" gimmick, and so it was hard to chain it together in my head of that + the bullets + slow down + tping on hit
But again, this was a really cool gimmick. Its real eye opening - I'd play this on a day that my brain wasn't fried hahah.
