How do I join the v8 beta?

• iOS: Join the TestFlight and install it with the TestFlight app.,
• Android: Press the button to join the beta on Mindustry's app store page.,
• Steam: Right-click Mindustry in your library, select Properties -> Betas and select the v8 beta branch in the drop-down menu.,
• Other platforms (itch): Download the beta files instead of the standard release files.,

it's beta updates, google play has updates, you need to join the beta to access them however

i saw you advertize it on another game's comments and decided FU, not like the game is good anyway

very little visible mechanics, the camera and stuff is a mess, no easy accessible tutorial, stats can't be seen so can't know how much an upgrade does, and so on, 

overall, trash game, 1 star, got more flaws than easily visible features

i beat the final level with only 1 tower down, i maxed out, used multicrit with archer tower and coin cannon to defend the swarms and boss

you can right click the upgrade to remove it, but i agree, it should be toggleable in game

yes, i did max out the upgrade tree

and no, i did not even get close enough in the process for it to feel remotely winnable

you have to constantly kill the small enemies and collect the orbs or else you die in 10 secs and 

you also have to avoid both the boss and the trail or else you get one shotted, even if the trail is already fading it still one shots, 

and a hard to see one-shot combined with extreme fast pace and precision demanded makes the boss fight feel very unfair

why does the boss one shot you even with max defenses? kinda unfair tbh

1 it's possible to win with gatling and reg battery by holding on the boss

2 railgun can ignore stuff and win in 12 or under secs

reminder that grinding all the multipliers is the main way to power up your moths for the earlier segments of the game, after lvl 10 farm them til the moths can fully keep up with the lights frequency

you are not meant to rely much on the upgrades, farming multipliers is the main way you get stronger early on, then spam resetting becomes the gameplay loop

tho i'll admit it was just so ugly i had no patience

why is there this weird graphical effect? it just puts completely unnecessary strain on the eyes and makes the pixelated texts even harder to read

smack the cities and don't space bar, easy

i thought i'd actually get to play with auto fishing but...

the trick that worked for me is aggressively gather wood in waves 1-3 spamming towers around the town at first then building a few of em at the big enemies along with a single wall, it's very easy to have hundreds of excess wood

the cpu bounce up upgrade is too insignificant for a one time purchase, it's just an additional level of bounce up rebranded

should make it clearer that this game is just a short chose your story one

no, you can very well make choices here, you pick what you upgrade, you control the harplunger

i just beat it after going at it again, imma share some tips to help out anyone struggling

1 you wanna go hyper aggressive, especially early on, else santa spams powerful armies at you, always look for an opportunity to take a region, stand down and fortify are useless, you should have like 25-33% of the map captured before you need above 3 guards

2 the instruction and unit caps are very restrictive, elfantry and tanks are the best units to work around them, you'd wanna abandon guards when hitting this cap

3 you wanna focus on making units, resources are not very scarce

for the actual battles

1 try to predict your opponent's moves when you have excess instructions and always do it at the end of the turn so there is the greatest chance of the enemy having already went there

2 make sure to incorporate dodging into your playstyle, dodge their attacks with some of your units

3 know how you should play around weaker and stronger units, and when a unit is really worth keeping for recovery, generally you wanna keep your units early-mid so they recover as units are scarce early on

nice game but needs more explanation for what sitting down and fortifying actually do, as well as showing statistics on stuff

also needs some animations to be sped up

now that i think about it, a cheap but limited scouting method would be nice to see what you can get or what enemies are actually there

all these random characters doing stuff, but they are all actual brawlers from brawl stars, impressive you got all these roles filled

destroying anything with creatures around it simply deletes the creatures with it, you have to make sure you called them first or else you lose them

for #2 should it really be posted if it's THAT early id development?

if you have an auto clicker don't use it here, it spoils the experience

also rear balls are op

OH i could've sworn that was never mentioned

yeah i don't have rogue lvl 2 and i don't see any other way to progress, i have 6 dex and 12 con + 2 from perk so 14, other stats are 1 str is 2, using rogue and smoke bomb, all that and it seems to take a ton of luck to get enough damage rolls

i happened to use that exact weapon (trying to avoid spoiling others) 

EDIT: also do i need lvl 2 rogue?

i am using the one weapon i found that deals this kind of damage and actually works

which item? i have already stumbled on the class and stats, but the only solution i found was getting super lucky

how do you beat the anemic cat? it's the only encounter i can actually do, but i can't seem to figure out how to beat it

i think insanity mode just happened to be a LOT easier that version, and yes increase the range for those wands, just make it travel further before circling but not make it circle over a wider area so it can actually be useful for cramped spaces AND wider spaces, at least able to get some damage off

5 days later after an update, i FINALLY beat the boss, didn't lose my shield from wistful ward (or whatever that relic was called)

later died cause i chose one of these wands that has the projectiles circle the player, those things are trash cause of their short range, they need more range to be good
