Thank you so much for spending time to reply! This answer is really helpful. We used this shader to set the tone and atmosphere in our horror game, here's the link if you'd like to check it out: DEORUM

Descend into the forsaken dungeon and fight the horrors in the dark. Gather occult materials, craft nightmarish coins, and settle your debt to the cosmic powers. Obey the Divine Festival.

Hi everyone!

If you're into dark fantasy/horror dungeon crawlers, we just dropped a demo of DEORUM on Itch.io! It should take you around 2 hours to complete!

We're making this project in a team of 2 and it started as a small prototype for a horror game jam. This is the result of 5 months of work :)

If you find it interesting, we're excited to hear your feedback!

Hi!

Thank you for this amazing shader!

We want to use the updated version in our project, but simulate the look of the previous one, where we've set scanlines_strenght to 0. We had all the bloom and distortions, but no scanlines. There isn't the exact same option now and we seemingly cannot replicate that look. Is it possible with the new logic inside the shader?

Thanks!

Sorry for the trouble. DirectX is the most probable cause of this, so try to update it and see if the problem remains :)

Hey, thank you for your feedback and ideas! Such information is really valuable and we appreciate it a lot, especially your note about the problem in the later waves (we were not aware of this complication) :) Also, your idea of giving the player an additional defence or balancing mechanic is great, we'll think about how to fit it into the game. Cheers! :)

Sorry to hear that. The problem most likely lies within your DirectX/graphics card drivers, so try to update them and see if the problem goes away :)

Thanks for your feedback and improvement ideas! :)

Great work! The game's mechanics are simple and easily understandable while aesthetics and juiciness really make the whole experience so satisfying :) Definitely need more of it!

Thank you for your extensive feedback! We totally agree that the project needs some amount of tweaking and balancing, but we are glad that you enjoyed the idea behind it :)

Glad you liked it! We're gonna definitely work on the rotation in the nearby future so thanks for a useful note :)

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! We have struggled a bit with the balance between shooting and rotating (also when it comes to gamepad vs mouse control ), so we certainly agree that the game requires some extra tweaking :)

Hello there!

DIEmension project was made in less than 48 hours for GMTK Jam 2018. It is a twin-stick shooter in which you can't shoot on your own. You have to move quickly, absorb hostile bullets, and release them back at your enemies. You can test your reflex and accuracy in the arena that will challenge you with 10 waves of varied enemies!

Thanks for playing and rating! C:
