Cool shit! I'd recommend adding two icons/symbols for the direction of the ability/effect: one for orthogonal, one for diagonal. Then you could remove it from the text. Also makes it easier to make new units.

Wow! Love it. But for the love of god, add gridstyle maps of the locations. And tokens for all the characters(PCs and NPCs), as well as character sheets with PC images that match a token.
