Nice work and Congratulations!
Thanks for the reply, I'll definitely give it a play soon!

Congrats on your release!
I love the little chicken sprites in the background and the BGM!
Super adorable!

I'm really sorry to hear that you couldn't resolve the issue. :(

It's clear looking at the source that a lot of work went into the project. Thanks for going through the effort to make and share this project. I hope the example you provided in github helps others.

Unfortunately, I've had some issue generating a Linux build of the game. However, if you're a Linux user and would like to try the game, I can confirm that the game runs great under Proton compatibility!

If you'd like to try and play through proton, please follow these steps.

Add Uwaiteru as a non-steam game:

  1. Launch Steam.
  2. Click the Games menu, choose Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library.
  3. Browse for games on your computer (GGJ2025.exe) or put a check next to the game(s) you wish to add to the Library.
  4. Click on Add Selected Programs.

Set the game to use the Proton compatibility software:

  1. Select the game in Steam, then right click and select Properties.
  2. In the Properties window select the Compatibility tab.
  3. Then enable "Force use of a specific Steam Play Compatibility tool"
  4. Finally from the dropdown menu below, select "Proton Experimental"

Now when you attempt to launch the game through steam, the game will begin installing the per-requite C++ libraries, then launch once the installation has completed!

The game seems to run great using Proton and on the Steamdeck I'm consistently getting 90 to 100 fps on EPIC (max) setting, and significantly faster for all other settings.

(Thanks ricjones for the suggestion to post this tip!)

Cheers! I hope you can resolve the issue, and I'll be happy to try and download again once you're ready. The C++ for the project in GitHub looks really clean and what I saw looked like a really great example of how to use OpenGL for developing games like this. Please reply when you have a new version. <3

No worries! Sorry for the stress.
Microsoft has a free tool called Microsoft Safety scanner that should help with scanning your PC for threats. I hope this helps and your PC and data are safe.
Thanks for the reply!

Tried downloading but Windows Security flagged the zip file as infected with a trojan. (Trojan:Script/Sabsik.FL.A!ml)

I highly recommend you take this file down, and scan your PC immediately.
