Looking into it now,  I think the only things that give 1% completion rate that are not required to beat the game are the health upgrades (I think there are 3) and the crystal shop purchases (which also I think are 3).

Hi. Perhaps you missed one hidden item that was behind a "damaged" brick tile, that looks slightly different than the rest. There are a few places like that which can be shot with your fireball.

So there are two statues that move the pillar in the way where that orb is in the sewer. One statue will move one pillar correctly and activating the other will basically “reset” it and block you again. Secondly there is a trick here where one of part of that pillar that is “broken” is actually not “real” and can be walked through. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the feedback, specifically this crash log. What were the circumstances when this crash occurred? Did it occur in Spooky World 8? If not there, could you elaborate.

I haven’t been experiencing any crashes so I am not able to reproduce the issue. if you have any extra info like screenshots or video of the crash, pressing B for more information after the crash, or a way to reproduce it, or can send me your json save file, that could help a lot in trying to fixing the problem. 

Thanks for the save file. That was very helpful. I was able to reproduce both bugs and fix them on my Playdate device. I have pushed out an update today that should fix the crashing with your existing save, as well as hopefully resolving the grid-movement bug that sometimes happens. Let me know if you run into any more problems, or if the problems aren't resolved on your Playdate.

So far I've been unable to replicate this on my Playdate. If you could, can you provide any more information, such as what exactly you mean by softlocked, that I can do to reproduce this?

If you happen to still have the save that is bugged, if you can send it to me I can take a look at what’s causing that crash. And then hopefully fix it and/or send you back a fixed save.

Thanks Justin! Yeah there are several bugs related to the Ironmail, except its effect when in combat. I have a new version with that fixed, but I can’t update until post-jam.

You really should flesh this out into a larger game. There was something deeply satisfying about blowing up those square things with cannonballs.

Thanks for playing! Yeah, this project was specifically to push Pulp's limits and see what one can do with it. Some of those remaining bugs/glitches you may have discovered are unfortunately Pulp-related and very difficult to smash. But other than that, I think Pulp is pretty awesome. I agree with you and hope that more people with no coding experience make some cool games for Playdate specifically because of Pulp.

Are you using v1.12? Because that is the version that the Demand Tribute bug was fixed. I'm not able to replicate the issues you are describing. If you can provide more information or a save file with this bug, that could help a lot in isolating the cause.

What was your potion thesis about?

I think I capped it at 99, which is an unrealistic limit with very little gain 😄

Wait till he lifts his arm and shoots at you, then you can hit him in the chest with a fireball 2 to 3 times before he drops his arm down again. Rinse, repeat until you win. Good luck!
