Absolutely adore the frequency of fraud themed software we are seeing for the Playdate!  Amazing theme here - such a simple and hilarious premise.  Graphics do their job perfectly, love the logo, love the name, satisfying sound effects...doesn't really push the boundaries of crank-based gameplay, but it doesn't need to either.  Perfect example of a weekend gamejam entry.  I hope this is just a glimpse of a larger fraud-based car dealership simulator.  LET ME UPSELL UNDERCARRIAGE COATINGS AND EXTENDED WARRANTIES.

LOL, I love that on Playdate I can rollback odometers and shred tax documentation. It’s the back door npc life in GTA ;-)

Everything’s really snappy and polished! I liked how tactile the game feels (breaking it, going slow or fast etc.) As the game progressed, I wasn’t sure what’s the optimal way of continuing (getting seriously low? going fast? adjusting to the given vehicle? etc), but that may reveal after few more runs.

Love this one. I think if the maximum digits were lower, the game could be a lot more fast-paced. I was only able to get through 2-3 cars when i tried to get them all to 0 miles, and its unclear if it would have been better to go through more cars with higher mileages than fewer cars with low mileages. It might be better to just have the player focus on getting to 0 or near 0 instead of asking them to consider if they should cut their losses on higher mileage vehicles. Great job!

Fun and funny, especially Honest Rod’s comments. One of the few to make use of backwards cranking.

Never buy a car from Dale Price! :D

Hey I just made the game, y’all are the ones rolling back odometers! 😉

Well polished. Very fun idea. Love the writing. With the sound off though, it's hard to tell when you're cranking too fast.

Developer

Thanks! When you’re cranking too fast, the odometer stops turning and there is some screen shake that I added at the last minute to try to make it noticeable, but I agree that it’s not enough, especially when you’re right at the limit and just briefly go too fast. I have a few ideas to improve that if I expand the game.

Hey, but don't focus on the negative! I really enjoyed this and will be showing it to friends when I show them the console!

Very well put together.
Any plans on expanding on this idea?

Amazing game :')

Love the creativity, a very original concept. The gameplay is good although the crank speed limit is not a good constraint to have! Other than that, enjoyed it a lot. Top score: $80K

Fantastically polished for a jam game. Simple, well put together. I believe this is my favorite.
