Hey everyone this is my first post and basically I came up with this horror movie/game concept idea and I wanted to just get a little feedback on it. Also I will say that I got the inspiration from a post I saw on facebook about turning children’s games into horror movies obviously it was satire but I would love it if this would actually happen that being said enjoy 😁

GAME NIGHT: RULES WERE NEVER MEANT TO BE BROKEN”

(Official-style trailer narration)

[BLACK SCREEN] A soft, warped children’s lullaby plays.

ANNOUNCER (deep, cinematic voice): “In every childhood… there are games we were told were safe…”

CUT TO: A massive, decaying game board stretching into darkness.

“…rules we were told to follow…”

A die rolls across bone-white tiles.

CLICK.

A player steps forward.

The floor responds like it’s breathing.

ANNOUNCER: “But what happens… when the rules start playing back?”

A ladder descends from the ceiling.

It moves… wrong. Too smooth. Too intentional.

A man climbs.

The moment he reaches the top—

FLASH.

Something changes in him.

Not visible. Not fully.

Just… wrong.

ANNOUNCER (slower, heavier): “In this game… every move has meaning.”

A corridor shaped like a toy box folds in on itself.

A woman steps forward on numbered tiles.

Each step echoes like a year being erased from time.

CUTS FASTER NOW

Dice rolling across teeth. A shadow detaching from a player. A smiling wall turning to face the camera. A slide of metal and bone stretching into darkness.

ANNOUNCER (lower, almost whispering): “You don’t win by playing well…”

A pause.

Silence.

A single heartbeat.

ANNOUNCER: “…you survive by understanding the rules.”

A voice interrupts.

Soft. Childlike. Close.

CHILD (whisper): “It’s your turn.”

BOOM.

A game board lights up like a funeral circuit.

Players freeze.

No one moves.

They already know.

They have to move.

ANNOUNCER (final rise): “In a game that never ends… every choice is the beginning of something worse.”
